Burger King Rotorua — Restaurant in North Island

We were in town for a basketball tournament, had a late night prize-giving, we told team (11 & 12 year old kids) that we'd treat them to BK, they were excited as kids always are in regards to fastfood! Arrived at BK at 9.55pm knowing they close at 10.00pm. Customers on the inside (also from basketball tournament) were told to lock door so we couldn't get in by the Manager, as they were closed. I repeat the Manager told CUSTOMERS who were in the "restaurant" to lock the doors on us. So we were a group of one confused Dad, two confused and angry Mums and 11 kids, knocking on the windows asking why when didn't close until 10.00pm, we were locked out? We were not treated with any respect. And I don't understand, because if we had gone through drive through they would have served us ... can you imagine ordering 14 different orders through drive through? If it was because had already cleaned sitting areas, could have asked if we mind taking away! Manager displayed terrible people skills and management of this situation. BK lost our custom, this particular restaurant lost my respect. I will try not to let one terrible service experience affect my opinion of ALL...

You know what Buger King is like. Not quite the same as McDonald's in a few was better while still needing to learn how to reach their level of speed and service.

Over all it's a recently renovated Burger King (BK) in the early months of 2019 so it's clean and there are USB charging ports available and most booths and the "bar" seating. This however over the weekend in conjunction with the free WiFi attracts many youth who are a constant issue as managment informed me.

The aircon is nice and at a good temp on the day I visited. I was lucky on the day of writing this review and service was fast and friendly (being there at 11:50am just before the lunch rush). The burgers were fresh, not cold but were lacking on the sauce so "dry". How ever this is not a true reflection on their constant service. So be warned on the weekends it can take a long time, upto 20 minutes to get your order.

Over all it's an OK BK. No way the worst but it has areas it...

What can i say about burger king.When you first walk in your Welcome by this amazing smiles. Its almost like you have just been hugged by all of this amazing team. There voice are like angles "Laughing" So happy Wow. Even looking after each other like family. They even will bring to you your order.They are so helpful. They have time Zone, we kids can play basketball" This is fun" and other games. There are rest rooms exit doors Fire-extinguisher. Comfort seating" WIFI T.v So If you are traveling? Passing by. From oversea. Take time out with this amazing team rest be for you move on. This not 24 hour they are closed 10pm. One day they will be come 24 hour Rotorua has been busy So for now This is the "Now" Make this happen, Make this work 2018 Thank you...
