I’ve always passed by Scope but never actually checked it out until the other day, me and my partner were googling all day breakfast menu’s here in Rotorua. We originally were planning to go to Milly’s however when it was shut I came across Scope on google and told my partner I’ve always wanted to go there anyway! And oh my goodness! OUTSTANDING to say the least! We were instantly welcomed and seated by the servers, to which we found so much good options on the menu! We hadn’t eaten yet and it was nearing lunchtime so for brunch my partner got the Hunt Club Bacon & Egg with extra hash browns and I got The One That Got Away Vege Stack with added Bacon, we also added an extra side of curly fries as we didn’t know how big the portions were and we were very hungry lol. When I tell you me and my partner were amazed at how big the portions were, we dug in with excitement! My Vege stack was to DIE FOR!!!! I love how much mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes there were and EVERY SINGLE THING ON THE PLATE WAS DEVOURED IN 10 MINUTES. It was that good! My partner can’t eat as fast as me but he was extremely happy with his plate too! He even made me try the bread as he said It was perfect!!! nice and soft on the inside. I agreed. We found ourselves so full we barely touched the curly fries sorry! Really wanted to though! The staff were lovely and even complemented my new handbag I had gotten for my birthday the day before. We found the whole atmosphere of Scope beautiful even the fact that they are selling artwork on the walls, as an artist myself this brought joy to my heart. The prices on the menu are definitely worth the amount of food you get!! Highly Recommend! me and my partner cannot stop talking about our breakfast/brunch at Scope on Sunday morning, So much that we have decided to make it a monthly treat for us! Thank you Scope you’ve really outdone yourselves. This needs 10 stars not 5!! Look forward to our next...
Read moreI experienced such an absurd situation. I came here with my kids for breakfast, and one of the waffles we ordered didn’t arrive. When I mentioned it, they insisted they had served it, as if we had already eaten it and cleared the plate. I ordered two waffles, and when I said one didn’t come, they treated me like some kind of beggar. I came here as a tourist, but this completely ruined my mood. I’ll never come back to a place like this in Auckland. Shouldn’t you check the CCTV or at least verify first when a customer says they didn’t receive their food? To the person making coffee—whether you’re the manager or the owner, I don’t know—but your customer service was the worst I’ve ever encountered. I received the refund as if it were being thrown at me, but I feel really terrible. I feel like I’ve become someone who makes a fuss over just $25. If I say I didn’t receive a dish, shouldn’t you at least...
Read moreThe inside of the cafe and more inviting than its exterior. Coffee was ok. Mince on toast was awful: no taste to the mince, egg was overdone, toast is cheap processed bread. Very disappointed and certainly not worth $35. Thanks for the speedy response. Sorry, but if that is foccatia, I am a Dutchman. The mince was plain bland, no item on the plate had any flair or love; that is not something that you can address and remedy on the spot; so I don't think that raising the issue would have done any good at all! Your defensive stance indicates that you are quite sure that everything you do is good and acceptable to everyone else and that my experience is unique and therefore the problem is me. If you do not own the feedback given, there is little point in engaging, face to face or online. Quite right, the mince was $28, $35 was the cost of experiencing...
