Spice world. The place you want to go when you visit Rotorua. Such an exquisite selection of spices , and a very wide variety of rice, (even including brocken, something not all stores offer). All of this at a very fair price. Another thing I want to mention is the excellent customer service, the kind man delightfully inquired to us if we are in need of any special service. The shop was filled with gaay products, there is a wide selection of gaay to choose from. For any young aspiring Indian makeup Youtuber™, spice world is your one stop shop, they include many hair products, wax for your leg hair, and even male foundation, causing any Indian boy to appear as a fair, handsome man. Their beauty starter packs include many sought after items, which are popular in the motherland India; these include, sandstone, a dried date, yarn, gaay chili powder, etc. And much more. The packaging is also a highlight, with all your favourite Indian gods crudely sallotaped to the clear plastic box. Many famous makeup outlets have opaque packaging, hindering your vision, potentially manipulating the customers with false advertisements; however at spice world, the manager and staff are all very transparent about their products. The rarest item in this day and age is a single dried date, as you either buy 200, or do not buy any at all. Some even coming edible. However the makeup starter pack provides one single dried date, tempered for many years, rendering it inedible, and a scarce makeup product. For all you collectors out there, you better look out for spice world.
Being an aged professional spice critic, I have visited many spice shops all over New Zealand and India. I can safely say that none can even compare to what spice world has to offer.
Kum kum.
The most popular, and most defining product of all Indian stores. Compared to all the others, spice world has the most to offer. Being sold in sticker form, paste form, powder form etc. You name it, they have it.
Ladies, have you ever found that your kum kum supply has run low, right on the night before your 18th cousin's daughter's wedding? Well look no further than spice world; with their exceptional customer service and late nights, your late night kum kum dreams can become a reality! One late night, I was scouraging through the streets of downtown Rotorua, with no light in sight, but in just that moment, I saw it, an open sign reading spice world. I felt comfort and gladness in my heart.

Read moreI recently visited an Indian store in Rotorua and was extremely disappointed by the quality of their products. Many items were past their expiry dates, some food products were spoiled, and several packages of nuts and seeds had a strong, unpleasant odor. Seems to be the Law enforcement should visit such stores and have course corrections.
