Fusion Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

Wow, I've been on a mission to try every French Toast in Taupo, and this just shot right up to the top of my list. It was beautiful. Topped with a whole banana, half an apple, plus slices of kiwi, strawberry, grapes, and one more fruit, plus the streaky bacon and a side of a super fluffy and fresh whipped cream, I cannot suggest this enough! The toast itself wasn't too thick or too thin, it was perfect for every bite!

The latte was also good, as was the moccachino I got here previously! Plus, the staff is super lovely, very friendly and respectful.

If you're in the area, definitely stop by Fusion!

Edit: Stopped in here again on my last day in Taupo to enjoy the French toast once more, and now after trying 99% of the French toast in Taupo and surrounding area, I can confidently say that this is the best...

The cutest little cafe! We are so glad we came here. First of all we were kindly greeted as soon as we walked in, secondly they have charges on the tables and thirdly flash and CLEAN high chairs 😂

We were so surprised when the food came out we ordered kids pancakes and they came out on a ceramic Mickey Mouse bowl with fresh FRUIT omg!!! 🫶🏼 genius idea. My partner and I both got the big breakfast (sorry I forgot what it was called) and they had heart shaped hash browns and kranskey sausages 🥹 every single thing on the plate was delicious and beautiful portions for the price. I only had a 35 minute stop in Taupo, but going here brightened up my morning. I had been feeling sour after having a rude bus driver interaction, but the person working the counter when I came in was very friendly and warm, and I could feel myself relaxing because of it. I ordered the crunchy French fries with aioli and it was delicious, excellent snack food. The café was presented very well.
