Very hospitable and friendly couple running this restaurant. We were skeptical as they didn’t had that many reviews but decided to take a chance and we were glad to have chosen this place . They made authentic Indian style prawn curry , Bhuna chicken and Indian style chicken . You have to tell the cook if you like Indian style cooking otherwise they might make it in routine way which is like mostly by locals . Stopped for dinner with my family on a drive up from Wellington to Auckland. Best Indian food I’ve had in New Zealand! We have yet to find a place as good up in Auckland. Delicious flavours, perfect spice level, dishes you can’t find at most places (rajma!). The naan was so nice and thin and tasty unlike a lot of heavier bready ones you find at other places. Amazing samosa! Tried Amritsari Kulche for the first time and it was HUGE and delicious. I have eyes bigger than my belly and ordered too much food, but the very friendly owners kindly offered me containers to take it home. The husband and wife who run it really go out of their way to get to know you and make sure you're enjoying your time. We even got to know their young daughter who was adorable!
