Stopped for quick lunch and saw that their Fish & chips was about 15-16 for a portion.
When it arrived, the fish was terribly small I swear it was for the kids portion. I have attached a picture here too. I thought it was their standard until I went to the toilet. Saw other people’s dish and it was large like what you get in most shops. The ones as big as probably an iPhone 11 Pro Max. The one we got? Was half the size of the iPhone 6S per piece... add them together it’s slightly smaller than an iPhone 6s... I was actually offended because the piece we got looks like some leftovers from a large piece of fish or it was plain small for kids.
I approached the manager and told him about it which he defended and said the lunch portion is usually smaller than dinner portion. I didn’t think it was fair to say this because other people had a way larger piece how can you say that. It was not acceptable and I told him since we were given the kids portion you should charge me the kids price then. He said it’s just 2 dollars difference and kids doesn’t come with the bowl of salad. Honestly speaking, I didn’t even feel like paying for it but we did anyway because we already ate it and this discussion only came up after I saw other people’s normal portion. It was not about the 2 dollars or what but it’s the inconsistency and why should we bear the consequences?? I really don’t get it.
Later on the manager explained that it was the kitchen’s mistake and he will charge the kids price which honoured and apologised. Apology accepted, bill paid and we moved on.
But I can’t recommend nor I would want to return simply because of one incident. I think my business is appreciated elsewhere as they seemed to run this place like a fast food joint which a higher price tag of course. I could have paid a cheaper price for better fish and chips..
Nevertheless, the guy who took our order and looked after us was probably the one reason this place can continue to sustain - he is an attentive and welcoming guy who does his job well. Other than that, I am not willing to pay 16 for the fish and chips which is smaller than dinner portion and could come as large as kids portion. Btw, it wasn’t good either- the fries were undercooked too as you can see...
Read moreWe had a very poor experience at this steakhouse and unfortunately wouldn’t return.
From the start, the service felt pushy — two different staff members approached us within minutes of sitting down to take our order, and when we told the first waiter we had already ordered, he didn’t seem to understand.
Our entrees (garlic bread and chowder) were just okay, but the chowder was quite watery. By the time they cleared our entree dishes, our drinks were finished, but no one asked if we wanted another round — which we did.
It took about 20 minutes after ordering before we were told they couldn’t do the chive baked potatoes that came with our meals, and were given chips and mashed potatoes instead. Unfortunately, when our mains (250g Sirloin 90-day steaks) finally arrived, everything except the chips was lukewarm at best. The steak — the highlight of the meal — was unevenly cooked and very underwhelming for a steakhouse.
What made the experience worse was the lack of concern from staff when we provided feedback. When we mentioned the issues, the response was little more than “oh, I’m sorry,” and nothing was done to make it right. Drink service was also inconsistent — we were finally asked if we wanted more drinks just before finishing our meal, and when they did arrive, they were served several minutes apart.
Overall, this was one of the most disappointing steakhouse experiences we’ve had. We wouldn’t go back and certainly wouldn’t...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, the service was off. The person welcoming guests was unfriendly and completely silent with us — not a single word, no greeting, nothing. Basic customer service was clearly not a priority. We had to wait quite a while just to place our order, raising our hands for ages before someone noticed us. When the waitress finally took our order, she got it wrong — which I understand, mistakes happen — but thankfully, another staff member (who was friendly) corrected it quickly. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the poor service. We were four people and ordered a tuna ceviche to share — it came with just five tiny slices and lacked flavor. We also ordered two mains, not expecting large portions, just decent quality. The meat was underwhelming, bland, and lacked seasoning. The salad was warm and had some creamy dressing that just didn’t work. The potatoes were okay, but overall, both dishes were a letdown. Only one of us mildly enjoyed one of the dishes, but we’ve all had far better meals elsewhere for the same price. When I went to pay, the girl at the counter was nice and I tried to offer some feedback. But the man overseeing her looked at me like what I was saying didn’t matter at all. That kind of attitude says a lot. Overall, the experience was disappointing — overpriced, underwhelming food and service that lacked even the basics of hospitality. I wouldn’t...
