Muffin Break New Plymouth — Restaurant in North Island

Absolutely unacceptable behaviour from the owner/operator of this outlet, when I called him out for his terrible customer service. But when I visited again today to receive a free coffee & muffin because of how I was treated, he had the audacity to confront me while I was seated, about the complaint I made to head office - instead of doing the right thing by apologising! He wouldn't admit his mistake & basically blamed me for him getting into trouble. I'll NEVER spend any of my hard earned money at this Muffin Break again. If I could give zero stars, I definitely...

Food quality was below average given our muffin and scone both quite dry.

We bassically ordered a caramel and coconut muffin, wasn't anything special which I wasn't expecting given the "Muffin Break" brand and muffins being their signature food, seemed really lacking. The frappe mocha was also pretty boring and didn't have a hint of coffee or even chocolate, for that matter, which is what a mocha should be, and the cream seemed flat, not whipped

In summary, I would pick Robert Harris or Lush any day...

I am lactose intolerant and I asked for a SOY ice latte, he read back to order correctly and when calling out my order again it was correct, all should be good, but when I took a few sips of my coffee I realised it was dairy milk, realising what was about to happen I made my way to the bathroom and proceeded to vomit the coffee back up cause my body can’t handle dairy.I’ve never had a bad experience with them before, the staff were lovely as always I will give them that, it’s just unfortunate that...
