Super confusing to understand what kind of food you’re actually getting—restaurant says Vietnamese, food looks Chinese, menu is partially in Korean 🤔. I find the menu lacking in Vietnamese food for a Vietnamese restaurant. I tried the phở bò and it was definitely a heavily modified version rather than the real thing. No basil etc and the broth lacked a real beefiness to it. I wouldn’t call it phở at all or any other kind of Vietnamese soup... At least there was hoisin sauce and chilli sauce on the table. However I can’t fault the friendliness of the staff/owner and quickness of table service. I just think they need to rethink their niche for the food they serve. Doesn’t seem like Vietnamese food is their forté!

Hi I was very impressed about PHO VINA‘s Wonton Noodle Soup and Combination Noodle Soup. What a treasure I’ve found!! That was absolutely great! Taste wise and service wise you are the top in Tauranga. Quality of the ingredients are so fresh and really good also serving with genuine love and care I can tell. After I ate the soup I feel really well and great! The soup they made was real chicken broth and hand made wontons with very reasonable price. Thank you so much for the great meal. 👏👏👏👏💓 I will definitely back often and highly recommend to everyone I know. 😘

I have been coming to Pho Vina since it opened and it's still my favorite place to eat in Tauranga!! My all time favourites are the Pork and Prawn Summer Rolls followed by the Pork Chop Soup (pictured below). The broth is delicious, the porkchop melt in your mouth and the spicy chilli (if you choose to add it) gives the soup a nice kick. The owner, Geoff, is so polite and welcoming. He always checks in to see how you are going. This place is truly a gem

I love the food here!! Don't get me wrong. BUT what I saw today was unacceptable. With only one chef on, one host and one server and a packed restaurant. Our food took over 50 minutes to come out. I get the chef makes each meal individually that's what makes it special, but really, on a busy Sunday. I also saw a customer yelled at and told to leave because they were closed. They still had 15 minutes left and the host started kicking chairs and yelling at his young helper in front of customers. Seriously....
