DISAPPOINTING. Will never go back! When you want good food you should just go to another place. The duty manager you see in a photo at another review is the WORST.

She was so rude telling us "you have to wait then" when we've been waiting for our food for more than an hour!! "you can do that but do it yourself" that's not what a manager should say! They got our order wrong and didn't end up giving it to us cause we cancelled after having to wait at 1 and 1/2 hour 😠 for an entree!!

They were also prioritising the same race when we have ordered waaaay before them. They gave them water, food and attended to them first. Her rude remarks, service was utterly disgusting.

Plus at the end she took a photo of one of the people in our group without permission! And she wouldn't let us split the bill. WE HAD TO PAY HER IN FULL ONCE! She already knows we're a group and there were 4 families.

So Uneducated. Poor Service.

I advise you to go to noodles and dumplings or something for dining in because this place would never be worth...

The service was great. We arrived when it was just opened for business and the waitress was very friendly and welcoming! Helped to set up a baby chair for us too. The dim sum can be considered relatively authentic and good. Char Siew Pau and Century Egg Lean Pork Porridge were not as good those in Hong Kong and Singapore but the Lau Sha Pau, Har Gow, and Lor Bak Ko (carrot cake) were comparable. Lor Bak Ko was fried crisp on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. The filling in the Lau Sha Pau tasted good except a little too sweet. Har Gow is perfect, skin not too thick and prawn is fresh. I would recommend these 3 types of dim sum. Will I come back? It’s a definite Yes as it could be one of the better dim sum place In...

If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, this isn’t the place. It feels more like a big takeaway shop with tables. No customer service, and the staff speak very limited English. The restaurant also wasn’t very clean.

The stuffed tofu and sesame balls were delicious — highly recommended. But the chicken feet were very dry, and the beef tendon and tripe tasted strange and not fresh. The cold noodles were almost inedible and completely bland. When we paid at the counter (no table service), we told the owner, and she said their chefs don’t know how to make cold noodles and many others had complained too. If that’s the case, why is it still on the menu? We still paid full price even though we could...

Yum cha - very reasonably priced, large portion sizes, delicious, lovely friendly and courteous service who didn't rush me and said that what I'd ordered would be enough for one person rather than trying to sell me more. The warm buttery yellow decor and surroundings was clean and tidy. The music was soothing and I felt very comfortable there. I bought one dish more than I normally would in a Wellington yum cha restaurant and Tasty was $15 cheaper but with bigger portions. I don't know about other yum cha restaurants in Palmerston North but I was very happy to discover this one! It's not a flash restaurant but a wholesome one.

Not recommended. Pineapple bun and sweet douhua were really bad and disgusting. We asked the staff is there any stuffing inside the bun before we ordered, and he said no so we ordered it. The buns were cold so we requested to reheat them but we found that there’s pineapple mixed with custard inside the bun!! It was called pineapple bun not because there’s pineapple inside, it’s because of the look!! For the sweet douhua, they did not provide brown sugar. They only have syrup and that’s all. That’s not a Cantonese restaurant, everything was weird. We waited food for a long time, the food was bad, and service was not nice.
