I attended the Cafe for a private birthday luncheon. It is in a corner of the Countdown Supermarket carpark so plenty of parking outside. We sat at long tables with little room between to fit us all in. That was OK because we only had to get up to get food from the buffet table. The food was fresh and simple - ham, chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas and lettuce salad with bread rolls on the side, just right for a lunch. The cheese cakes dessert may have been provided by the lunch organiser. And there was the birthday cake too. A lovely non-alcoholic punch was presented in a big round glass bowl. The staff were helpful and friendly and cleared away our plates at the appropriate time. There was a microphone available for speech makers. I purchased the special pack of 5 frozen roast dinners for $45 to take home. They were a good size and tasty.

First time going here. It's tucked away down the back end so can be easily missed. However this is a quaint eatery. It looks to be an older demographic as we were the youngest there, but maybe not enough people know about this gem. Service was good with roast of the day for $15 and take home containers of bikkies or heat and eat meals, unsure of their prices. Lovely artwork on the walls that are for sale. It was clean and tidy and has restrooms. It also caters for children with toys and highchairs. We had pies and mocha coffees. The coffees were good and wow the pies! I have searched for a decent pie and I finally found it. The lamb and mint is amazing and the flavours just sung to my taste buds and a good size. We also had cheesecake and apple and custard tart and they were Devine too. Prices were on par with everywhere else.

I asked an op shop staff where would be a good place for a coffee and she recommended Capers so we went there. I was in shock when I was in the café and the staff who took my order was grumpy and sounded so rude. Even my kids heard her tone and wondered why she's so rude. I was in the toilet when she brought the coffee to my kids and according to them, she just left it on the table without saying anything. When I came out, I took the coffee and left, thanking them and the other staff thanked us with a smile. The mocha was too sweet for me but what was disappointing was the poor service. It seemed like we came at the wrong time and disrupted their closing when it's not even 4pm. Will never go back again.

Our daughter rang you from London and ordered a special Christmas meal to be delivered to us as she knew that we would be alone on Christmas Day due to ill health. We would like to thank the staff who prepared such a lovely generous meal for us both. and also we would like to thank the wonderful delivery man who delivered the meal on time and put it in the fridge for us. I am not sure what size meal our daughter ordered but I am sure she had not expected that there would be enough food for each of us to have 2 dinners and 2 lunches. We are regular customers and frequently come in and get meals and take home to our freezer. Our 2 favourite meals are roast lamb and vegetables and corned beef and vegetables. Once again thanks very very much.
