Bangkok Recipe — Restaurant in South Island

1 star for service 4 star for food. Food was really good. Apart from the guy who was really rude. We sat for a good 15min before we got our drink and food orders taken. The two wait staff were running deliveries not sure what the guy was doing. We got there just before 7 entree took 20min for deep fried food. Then our mains took ages we didn't eat until 8.30. One meal came out first and the rest were 10min after. Really poor. Only up side was that the food was really nice. But won't be going back and won't recommend. The food here is amazing! So tasty and full of flavour. This time around I had the massaman lamb shank curry, because I had food envy from when my partner got it last time we were here. The lamb shank was so succulent, the meat literally fell off the bone. The curry was full of flavour, it paired perfectly with the lamb. Our entree was the salt and pepper calamari... Absolutely delicious! It was beautifully cooked and the sauce it came with was delicious too. I've eaten here with a birthday group twice now. Friendly service yet contrary to menu they don't seem to cope at all if you have food allergies. They cope by removing foods so you end up with peas as only vegetable they didn't add carrots or any of the many alternatives discussed.! 3X of the dishes were coated in gravy and varying it's flavour and texture I.e. by adding Soy or thinning down with water yet essentially they were still a wheat based gravy.... guess I've been spoiled by having real Thai.... we all thought it...
