India Garden - Oamaru — Restaurant in South Island

OMG worst experience. I ordered a chicken biriyani and a lamb biriyani. After a long waiting finally the items arrived. I was surprised as they used chicken leg muscle for making chicken biriyani(cheap option) and used lamb shanks for making lamb biriyani(another cheap option) and the other worst thing is that they put rice in some kind of curry for making biriyani. Guys.... this is not biriyani. This is curry rice...... Not recommended this restaurant.

To the owner, if you have not much profit from this business , shut it down. Customers are not fool. If customers spend money for food, you have the responsibility to give good quality food....

Called to place an order and the person picks up and talks super rudely because I have apparently called before and cancelled orders which is a completely wrong accusation because I haven't eaten from this place from a long long time. I literally save up to buy from you guys on special occasions. Being an international student and wanting to eat your home style food is a luxury for some of us. You should understand that not everyone is rich and everyone has their own budget, specially students. Thank you for forever ruining the image of your restaurant for me and many others whom I'm gonna share...

Every time we go to Oamaru,we will dine in or take away.But not anymore.

Last time we took away the food,it was so sweet.

This time we dined there,the staff gave us a menu. We chose the set lunch, curry (large) - $22.

But when we paid, they charged us more than. They explained that oh, that food served to you was a bit larger than that of the set meal. However, it's the same to us. But why showed us about the “set of meals “. But to avoid further argument, we paid the bill and left. Of course ,we won't go back...
