Itās a motel⦠so I went here with low expectations. And they didnāt disappoint⦠I guess I should have lowered them more š¢ our first impression was with the staff at check in. She confirmed my name and That I had booked the family suite⦠saw my two children and with an accusatory tone asked if the kids were staying as well and that I only booked for two adults. Iām sure there could be many reasons for this, for one my profile on Trip.com is for my family, so I assume it knows when I book it is for the four of us, but whatever, the motel did t get that info and Iām happy to pay for my children. I do think itās a bit weird that someone would book a āfamilyā suite for just themselves but sure. My main complaint her is with the attitude about it. Her immediate stance was not āwe can correct that no problemā but you didnāt pay for your children and you need to pay first. Then the motels welcome gift was a childās size bottle of milkā¦? When my wife asked if we could have one for our other daughter her response was āItās two dollars for the bottle of milkā. To continue on, there was a bug on the bed and small flys on the ceiling. Maybe someone left a door open or what but it wasnāt something we wanted to deal with. The tissue box had four tissues in it. Overall this is a dated hotel with cheap appliances, surfaces and room amenities. Some of the items feel like things you buy on a āas seen on tvā commercial. Anyway. Itās a motel, we slept, and will never go back or recommend it to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn behalf of my elderly parents who stayed at this establishment for 3 nights just recently. ||They any I were totally disappointed by the size of the unit. They called it compact but by kiwi standards it's a tiny bedroom with ensuite. ||The Bed is a double bed not a queen size as advertised. The unit was clean and tidy.||Excellent location, being so close to town. But neighbors are McDonald's open 24/7 on one side and a Petrol Station on the other side. A little noisy if your unit is close to these establishments. ||||When my parents after their first night asked for a upgrade to a larger unit .for safely requirements I was totally shocked and appalled to hear of the Managers unprofessional and disrespectful manner towards my elderly parents. I understand that there wasn't any units available, but there was no need to verbally raise your voice to the extent to embarrass them and anyone else in the vicinity. ||||I will not be recommending this Motel to anyone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA very compact unit more suited to a travelling single than a couple. There is a desk, chair, wardrobe, very small kitchette space with kettle, toaster & microwave. It was disappointing that the fridge space was big enough for a 900mm high bar fridge, but they'd opted to put in one of those tiny ones seen in hotel rooms. This doesn't compliment the concept of a motor inn / motel travelling style. The bathroom was a good size, but it felt yukky washing up dishes in the bathroom sink. The shower cubicle had a perspex roof on it and there was mould above the roof below the ceiling line. It would be a difficult place to reach to clean, but it is needed. It was impossible to find room for 2 suitcases. We have stayed in studio suites in quite a number of other motel chains and found them more the adequate for an overnight stay. The Bella Vista proved just too tight. As a travelling couple we will select a different motel chain in the future more suited to our...
