On way back from Cape Reinga, we happened to drop in this restaurant. The food was so authentic to us traveling from Korea. We felt home in this fine restaurant, unexpected in this far up in the North. Staff were kind and warm and tables were available indoors and outdoors. Clean and tidy atmosphere was impressive. The Korean cook (owner) and local staff were friendly and warm. I would recommend this one if you love healthy authentic Korean tastes.

Travelling from Tauranga staying in cable bay ; came to Kaitaia for more dinner options. We chose to try happy bowl tonight was super nice. Biggest servings iā€™ve ever seen. Really great quality and size for money. One suggestion would be to add a small bowl to the menu! Great customer service as well. Dine in options outside with 3 picnic tables and seats inside as well! Thanks

The first time I went here I was like I donā€™t know if I want to invade it didnā€™t fit into my taste buds but this is my 30 time going and I love it when ever I can go out for dinner I go straight there the food is amazing and I love the meat and the people are very nice and easy to talk to every time I get to have dinner with a friend or faimly memder I take them here it a good place I would recommend you spend your money...

I happened upon Happy Bowl when in town for work, I was initially going to get food from the local Thai place, but after waiting for 10min for someone to serve me, I left. I was in town for 3x nights and ended up going back each night. I had a Happy Bowl the first night, then 2 different Don bowls. It was really good, and I will definitely be back next time I am in town (hopefully they have the Salmon Don back on...
