Waiters asked how the food was:
Vegetarian Platter for 2: Onion Bhaji and vegetable patties were way over cooked, dry, yet over-oily with a mostly burned bitter flavour. Waiters both confirmed these were cooked once on a different day and not used, so bagged up, frozen and deep fried a second time - therefore overcooked, dry and bitter - Rehashed/recycled food.
Butter Chicken: Chicken was dry, overly salted with very low flavour due to lack of spices used.
Waiters both advised me the chef thought there was nothing wrong with these, even though they both agreed they were not good and apologised.
Suggestion:
Chef has a reality check to avoid customers voting with their feet, especially considering we were the only ones in the restaurant in the middle of a long weekend.
Waiters need only to simply thank customers for their feedback instead of hanging around for ages profusely apologising and offering a 10% discount.
Waiters could ask what we wanted for desert to up-sell and make more income for the business. Instead this was not prompted.
Use chicken thigh meat instead of breast meat which goes hard and dry easily.

Fortunately to our excitement, the quality of Indian Spice in Kaitaia was just as impressive!
We ordered: Onion Bhaji, $8.99 Beef Korma, $12.99 Goan Fish Curry, $22.99 Stuffed Naan, $6.00 Raita, $4.50

The Onion Bhaji was irresistibly crispy, moorish and accompanied by a deliciously tangy sauce. The Beef Korma was served with the most tender meat. The Goan Fish Curry was expertly cooked, enveloped in vibrant flavours.
We actually think this may be the best Indian food in...

Kingfisher beer to top it off and we were set for the day and drive back to whangarei. Thanks for the top food we...
