We were recommended Peekaboo Backyard Eatery by a few locals who really hyped it up so naturally, our expectations were high. The interior is cozy and inviting, and the food was definitely delicious fresh, well-prepared, and nicely plated.

But for the price point, I was missing the wow factor. It just didn’t leave that lasting impression you hope for from a place that’s talked about so much.

What also threw me off a little was the ordering process — I was still choosing my meal at the bar, finally made up my mind, and then was told they were out of that dish. Not the end of the world, but it did take a bit of the shine off the experience.

It’s a nice spot with potential, but for me, it didn’t fully live up to the hype though I’d still say it’s worth a try if...

Went there with my partner as we heard / read good things about it. I don't know how good is the food as I we didn't get any chance to try it!

The staff and service is absolutely terrible. We sat outside and got completely ignored for like 5 minutes. I went it for menu's and ladies just handed them to me and kept talking to some bloke on the bar. Not even saying Hello or anything.

Went outside to check what's in the menu and got ignored for another 5 minutes. Went inside with the menu to order, stood at the bar for 3 minutes with getting absolutely ignored again while ladies talked to some one at the bar. The restaurant was empty but they just kept chatting.

We went to Beachcumber (owned by same ppl) and the service and food was terrific. Will...

Great concept for a restaurant and the addition of the kids playground was amazing! The service was friendly and easygoing - unfortunately we waited over an hour for pancakes, and when they came they were burnt to the point of being black on one side. We sent them back to the kitchen and it took them over 20 minutes to make pancakes again. When the pancakes came a second time they were burnt yet again. We decided to then feed the kids because it had been 80 minutes since ordering and they were melting down. My only wish is for the kitchen staff to have had more hustle and attention to detail. I’m not sure how anyone serves black pancakes (twice) to kids and...

Hidden gem. A great dining experience. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Comfortable seats with plenty of space between tables. Long tables also available. The menu offers plenty of tasty options. The salami pizza was delicious and I highly recommend. Open kitchen to enjoy seeing the meals prepared. Teas and coffees and soft drinks menu. Mocktails available. Free water available. Wheelchair accessible entry. Disabled toilet. Disabled parking at rear. On street parking. Credit and debit cards accepted. Pay wave accepted. No pay wave surcharge. No credit surcharge.
