Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

It is always a good experience when you visit this coffee shop. Staff are very friendly and great service.

The table service is great and friendly. We had a large Cappuccino and a Chocolate Drink. They have a great selection of food as well as different scones, muffins, etc. The meals are big portions and the different scones are big and very fresh.

On previous occasions we have had a meal to eat there and great value for money.

Very highly recommend for all customer's to come support our small businesses in these difficult times.

Great service again this morning, and you can be sure if receiving great coffee and a miniture coffee and wall nut cake. We then shared a big serving of Large French Fries, which came out piping hot after just coming out of the frier. Great service and friendliness from the staff.

Good variety of different eats in their display cabinet and then the food you can order off the wall menu. Healthy portions and freshly prepared. Have a good selection of Date Scones, sweet ses, and Savory Scones, true value for money.

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant interaction with a waitress this morning.

My daughter and I ordered breakfast and sat waiting. My daughter is 19months old so was sat in a child seat. I gave her a sachet of sugar to play with while we waited for our food and drink. While waiting, a waitress approached us and told me I needed to take the sugar off my daughter before she made a mess and got sugar everywhere. I replied and said she won’t get sugar everywhere, she just shakes it. The waitress continued her comments by then telling me that my daughter is spreading her germs everywhere by touching the sugar and that I should take it off her. She then got closer to my daughter and I and continued with this judgement until I told her the conversation was over and to leave us alone.

The encounter was absolutely disgusting and people that like should not work in a customer facing role.

Telling a customer that her daughter will spread her germs everywhere is so inappropriate and just unbelievably rude.

I left immediately after this and cancelled my order because I was so annoyed by this...

This morning I visited the cafe with my family. We visit this cafe pretty regularly, usually with the same blonde lady working, though she doesnt wear a name tag. We almost interact with her everytime we go in to eat and she consistently has the same attitude. She took our order very unenthusiastically, while also asking us to repeat multiple times what we were saying as she either wasn’t listening to us or was talking to other staff. As she came to give us our food she did not seem interested as she put the plate down dramatically and then quickly rushed off. We feel bad for leaving a review like this though we have given her the benefit of the doubt multiple times, thinking shes been suffering a bad day. Though because it continues to happen everytime we go in we have found it difficult to feel comfortable within the café environment. We would appreciate you to employ staff that treats both the food and customer with respect as this lady has not and continues to display disrespectful behaviour towards myself...
