I only return to this branch because it's on my way back from the kids' afterschool activities, but I'll rather go without pizza from Domino's Pizza Albany than returning.
After placing an online order, my pizza was still in the oven when I arrived 20 minutes later. I finally got it 10 minutes after that. Ok, fair, probably busy. Unfortunately for the lady in front of me, the order progress board showed status 'Ready'. However, after waiting for some time and her having some hard words (she was the 4th unhappy customer in a row) staff told her that it (1 pizza) was still in the oven. Another staff member said the board is not always correct, it can be up to 2 minutes 'out'. One staff member halfway through assisting the woman just walked off and started slicing and boxing pizzas at the back. Another staff member had to call other staff members from the back to come help customers on 3 occasions while I was waiting. After helping they always disappeared to the back again, despite the line of people growing. It seems only a bunch of rookies were on duty, with no senior person to manage and see that things run smoothly. Totally demotivated when I got home and saw the skimpy toppings on our pizzas - yet again. A cheese & garlic pizza, but you only get a hand full of cheese in the middle with the outer third of pizza base completely dry and brown. This happens EVERY single time... Finally took the time to write a bad review which I should've done ages ago! Sorry Albany, I'll rather pay delivery fee for pizza from your Browns Bay branch - they have lots of cheese and manage their orders...
Read moreI visited the Dominos at Albany NZ on the 19th of November 2023 Upon arrival I was asked what I ordered because the machine didn’t print any receipts. The store person continued to ask my order at least another 3 times and said it would be ready soon. After seeing the pizzas leave the oven and waiting for 5 minutes they still hadn’t said the order was ready. Eventually they said that they didn’t make my pizza extra large but normal size instead. I said this was fine and they refunded me the difference. As I was walking out the door I noticed that the lavacake I ordered was missing and asked them about it. They said they had run out and they had given me a CHEAPER item off the menu without telling me. After refunding me the difference they gave me an old brownie that was unwanted and dehydrated. Just as I get home they call me and say they gave me the wrong pizzas after all of that and ask me to DRIVE BACK so they can give the other customer the pizzas that had ALREADY LEFT THE STORE. This has to be a health code violation. After getting back they had no apology and gave me my cold incorrectly sized pizzas and no compensation. Upon arriving home the chocolate brownie was so burnt it was black and inedible.
The store did not use to be like this but after a change of management it has gone downhill.
To top it all off the teens running the store were also making jokes about very illegal abuse crimes.

Read moreThis is one worst dominos I have ordered from. Do not go here unless they change there behaviour. Having worked at dominos for years I can tell you the 9 pieces of ham on a ham cheese pizza is far from the amount that we are required to put on. Not to mentioned there was no deep pan which shows a total lack of organisation, planning and just sheer laziness, having made dough 1000 times for prep, I can tell you this is the only way you don't have stock at the beginning of the night. Also the cheese crust is tiny! Again showing that they are under portioning the dough (probably on all the dough types (have seen it happen alot and unfortunately some owners/managers think its acceptable). Common in stores trying to save money and inflate profit. I really hope someone from the store reads this because it really is a shame to give the brand such a bad name. IT IS POSSIBLE to run a dominos and make money without shady practices. All you end up doing is losing return customers and getting bad reviews. I've been around the block I know how it works and your not doing good. Hope you decided to take some pride in the work you do, and turn it around. Good job= happy customers and good results .
