Pros: The place is neat and tidy since it's new. The price is slightly lower than the average Vietnamese restaurants. The staff are nice and efficient.
Cons: The portion of the food is too small; I ordered the large size chicken pho, yet the amount of the food was what you'd get for a regular size at any other Vietnamese places. Same with the chicken noodle salad I'd ordered before; this one, while being the regular, was roughly the same amount as the large so the portions are really uneven. Considering the price of the place isn't that cheap (only $1~2 cheaper than the average $21 pho), I'd say it doesn't really work out in their favour. The flavour of the pho is also nothing special or impressive. It's exactly what you'd expect from any other Vietnamese restaurants, but could definitely use some improvements.
Overall, not bad if you're looking for a quick place to eat out. But the place could use some...
Read moreFinally, a place in albany that sells excellent banh mi! Nice spacious dining area when you walk in, with nice background music. Lucky to get the buy one, get one free deal as it just opened, so if you in the area get in quick. Customer service is decent as well.
Pork and prawn summer roll 9.0/10 I'm treating this as a starter. MVP was the size of the prawns for the summer roll. Decent size. Also, the peanut sauce that came with it was damn good. If they make this in-house, then I'm impressed.
Crispy pork roll 9.1/10 The bun is light, crispy and crunchy, and soft inside. I got really Crispy pork belly in mine, would of perfered a bit more. Vegetable wise, everything is on point, and this was arranged nicely.
Lemon grass chicken roll 8.6/10 This was a banger, too, but I felt the Crispy pork was better. Of you like lemongrass you'll love this.
Must try, great spot for lunch or to catch up with friends in...
Read moreWe had their Bánh Mì twice and they are hands down the best Bánh Mì in Auckland. The flavour of the meats fillings are very closed to what you can get in Sài Gòn. The bánh mì (bread) itself is incredibly light and soft from the inside and slightly crispy and flaky on the outside. Again very closed to what a Vietnam bánh mì should be. Beef Phở, and chicken Phở are more Northern style. They are both super tasty. Bún bò Huế is also delicious. Plenty of seats outdoor. Some of them are undercover. Our little doggy is always very welcome :) I can’t wait for winter time again to come back for more delicious soup. For now, we will definitely be back regularly for more Bánh Mì and to try their other fresh noods salad...
