Yorkshire Roasts — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

I was shocked by the behaviour of the very young Asian lady (with glasses) staff. My family was treated so rudely at Yorkshire Roast today. My wife ordered food (takeaways). The young lady put carrots in the takeaway container without asking .. so my wife asked her not to put the carrots.. (My wife said ‘No carrots, please’). The young lady suddenly hit the scoop with a bang..it was loud when she put the carrots back into the carrot container. I was a bit shocked and kept looking at the lady’s behaviour and she continued to act irritated. She put the container in a plastic bag and almost threw it at my wife. I talked to the lady about her rude behaviour, but she was rather angry with me. Another lady next to her apologized for the young lady’s behaviour and said she must be sensitive now because of she’s on period. Does this make sense? If a staff acts rudely to customers on menstrual weekdays, is it enough to not apologize? Is this natural behaviour? I have been there several times because my daughter likes roast (I am not saying that their roast is good. I don’t have any choice because this is only one at the shopping mall)..They’re usually not very friendly.. Today’s one was the worst customer service ever that I have had in the last 10 years. The lady’s rude manner and way of talking to the customer are not acceptable at all. Disgusting staff with terrible customer service. It is totally unacceptable what happened at it obvious I would not recommend this place to anyone. SERVICE SUCKS!! can’t even get an extra piece of tissue even though my friend bought from them.

Enjoy a traditional English roast. Choice of small, medium & large plate of all different types of veggie, potatoes, kumara & pumpkin. Roast pork was soft & delicious except non crunchy skin topped by a traditional gravy. Southern fried chicken was tender with crunchy skin. A good choice would be separate the main dish from all its side dish instead of all on top of each other. Additional salt & pepper(non fresh pepper punch).
