Tui’s Nest — Restaurant in Waikato

Not sure how it's only 4.5 stars. Tui's Nest is a 5 star place from the Food to the Atmosphere to the Service.

First off it was delicious. The Daddy Tui Stack is heaven on a sourdough toast. My stomach is so packed full I can't handle another bite. The wedges were delightfully salted, a perfect balance to the sour cream and sweet chili.

The service, well, the service was nothing short of amazing. The proprietor went above and beyond providing extra bacon for us due to our own misunderstanding! She didn't even hesitate. That level of kindness should be valued and appreciated whenever found.

The atmosphere is cute and relaxing. The gentle sounds of the kitchen and conversation drift through the indoor area of the cafe reminding me of home and warmth.

Visited at breakfast time on a dull weather Saturday morning, there were already quite a few people who were eating in, which was encouraging. Had a homemade savory, delicious with real mince inside (not just gravy) & light flakey pastry. Delicious looking menu on the wall with the usual fare. I watched carefully when the server dropped a clean knife on the floor, good to see it was immediately picked up & put with the dirty cutlery. Easy to park outside, they are not located in the central shopping area, but not too far away & worth the trip....

Lovely place with nice staff. Away from the crowds of town but still central. Nice food. Mostly breakfast options on the menu but they have an array of wonderful options in the cabinet. Good for kids with some books and toys. Kids sized portions available from menu. Pictured is the kids sized bacon and eggs for $10. They do dine in or takeaway coffee if you need it. T leaf teas available. Wait was nice and short, we went to another place that told us we needed a 45 minute wait for food, this place...
