I went to meet a friend here for lunch today, as he said they served great food. The menu certainly sounded delicious. I ordered a latte and the Wagyu Beef Hash. The coffee came out and had a strange taste to it, so I added a little sugar. My lunch came out and it looked beautiful. But it was completely inedible. They cooked their Wagyu in a sauce that I'm guess was over reduced. All you could taste was salt. Wagyu is supposed to be delicious and tender and fatty. It was just dried meat in salt. The rest of the elements were sitting in the sauce. After two bites I had to send it back. You couldn't taste anything but overwhelming saltiness. About 15 mins after I sent it back, someone came out and asked if I'd like anything else. But at that point my friend had finished his food, and so I declined. When I went up to pay, I decided that I'd take a pastry or baked good home, since I was still hungry. I chose a piece of banana bread, which they put in a bag, and I left. Once home I decided to heat it up a little and tuck in. I was about two thirds through it when I saw something odd in a piece I was about to put in my mouth. A white sliver embedded in the bread. I pulled it out to get a better look. IT WAS A FINGERNAIL CLIPPING. I have never been so disgusted by a restaurant in my entire life. I would give them zero...

Read moreGreat food, excellent house-made drinks and attentive service! I have eaten at Goodness with my husband and later brought in my seven staff for a Christmas treat. Both times the food was excellent and was served quickly, even when the cafe was busy. I had the Wagyu beef the first time and the Wagyu hash the second time. Both dishes were melt in your mouth fantastic. Food envy of my husband's gnocchi dish too. Just delicious. The ginger and lime house-made soda is a real treat and colleagues had house-made juices which were dreamy and fresh. Not to forget the great coffee - hot and iced were both perfect. Will definitely be back to work...
