Juno - Ponsonby — Restaurant in Waitematā

I recently stopped by Juno, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a calm, minimalist aesthetic that feels both stylish and relaxed. Soft lighting, pink and soft blue tones, and a clean layout make it a perfect environment for catching up with a friend or getting some work done.

I ordered the cappuccino oat milk coffee and a strawberry matcha with form, and both were excellent. The coffee was smooth and expertly brewed, with just the right balance of strength and flavor. The matcha is my friend favorite so delicious. The food we ordered is salmon gravlax, that is perfectly with each bite What stood out most was the attention to detail—from the beautifully plated drinks to the warm and attentive service. The staff at Juno are genuinely friendly and clearly passionate about what they do.

Coming from Melbourne (where there's no shortage of amazing cafes) I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this place is. First of all the Vienna coffee was the best I've ever had. I don't drink black coffee normally, but this tasted so good with the cream foam that I ended up drinking most of my partner's. The sweetcorn cheesy melt was a perfectly balanced snack, the pickles cutting through the richness of the cheese nicely (love a good pickle). However the hero dish had to be the tomato and goats curd tartine (chefs kiss). It turned out they make their own rye bread, which (unlike other rye breads I've had) was nice and soft and easy to cut. I could've easily devoured 4 more. I heard they might be opening up evenings, can't wait to come back and try their new menu! Highly...

I’ll be recommending Juno to anyone that will listen from now on. It’s just that good.

I got anchovies on eggs and was blown away. Much like the spot itself, my dish was immaculately presented - simple, elegant and incredibly tasteful.

It’s a super relaxing atmosphere and the staff were great, friendly and attentive.

Considering the menu/concept is created by some of the best in the biz, I thought the food was very reasonably priced and was expecting to pay more.

Can’t wait to come back. To the people leaving average reviews on here - just go somewhere else lol you sound incredibly...
