Really disappointed in our experience. Was recommended this place to host a surprise party. Booked well in advance, and had emailed a food order the day before as we had a party of 12. On the day, just to double check staff were aware of the pre-order we made, we were told that only a few items were available on the day. Slightly disappointed, but understood they may have ran out of ingredients so we changed our order. When the food started coming out, we were getting confused as it wasn't what we had changed our order too, however it turns out that the initial pre-order I made was available and they had prepared this but we were not notified. Further, there was only one bartender to serve the whole downstairs so felt bad as he was quite busy.

Due to the confusion with the order, we were charged for an additional dish that did not come out. When I mentioned this, the manager said that it did come out but later on in the night so I just paid the fee to avoid the hassle. The guests later confirmed with me that this dish never came out, and when I emailed the manager to sort this, they said they would look to refund. I have followed up twice now and have been waiting 2 weeks, but have not heard a reply. Pizza without cheese does not equal vegan pizza.... My partner called in advance to ask for vegan options - as menu only specified vegetarian or dairy free - and was told that “basically everything vegetarian on the menu can be made vegan”. So when we get there I’m told that I can have the polenta fries without the aioli - probably not fried separately from non vegan foods - or pizza without cheese and meat toppings. Which is not what I understand to be “vegan options”. I was also told that I could have the vegetarian spring rolls if I don’t care that the pastry has EGGS in it ?! To top it all off I got a plate with cheese residue on it. Let’s not talk about how this place also still uses plastic straws for almost every drink that isn’t beer. Ended up getting food from pita pit and wouldn’t have come back if it hadn’t been for my friends doing the pub quiz. Definitely room for improvement. Maybe you could just make one pizza with vegan cheese and 2 toppings of choice? That would be great! And maybe educate your staff on different lifestyles and what they entail. The staff I talked to was really friendly - just couldn’t really help with...

I come to this place often. I think the atmosphere and the food/drink are great. My friends and I have been a big fan of the cheap lunches and pizza deals for a while now. Unfortunately everything seems to be let down by not so good service. My friends and I recently came for lunch and it was fairly quiet. We were seated quickly. Firstly it took a while for us to get served. Although the staff was very nice the time factor wasn't. We waited about 20 mins for our drinks. Almost an hour had past and we still hadn't received our food. We noticed some other groups had filed through and been served but the place wasn't bustling so we were a bit concerned. After asking the staff about our meals we finally received them over an hour after ordering. Was quite a shame as we were wanting to order more food afterwards but left short for time as we had only planned to be there a couple of hours at most and worried we wouldn't receive our food in time. Sadly this experience has kind of ruined the place for me a bit and will make me think twice before heading...
