Everything hit the mark here - very reasonably priced, great service, great food, great atmosphere! Can see this as the regular hangout spot without a doubt!

It was a hot tropical saturday night when Cyclone Dovi was hitting us and a friend and I chose to try the new Broken Lantern we had heard so much about.

Wow - were we impressed...!

The vibe was great, plenty of people gathering in such a beautiful, well lit and great acoustic space. It made you want to just mingle!

But because it was so humid and hot that evening my mate and I chose to be seated in the back courtyard - which was equally impressive with its layout - think Mediterranean style cobblstones, olive trees and umbrellas and super comfortable smaller tables and chairs and a few high bar leaner tables and chairs too.

I'm plant based so went for the vegan malbec and the eggplant dish with a side of fries... wow was it an amazing combo!

Service was 5 star - always there when you needed them but not obtrusive to your social time with friends.

Finally.... my friend and I both commented when we saw the bill........... 😳

We were both expecting to pay FAR more for our evening! The prices were so reasonable and we could definitely see ourselves making this a regular outing and social hangout place with friends and family.

Will...

Great atmosphere, cool decorations and furniture, delicious food and amazing cocktails. We just celebrated our anniversary there yesterday evening and it was really good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Emma who helped me reschedule our booking via email in a speedy and efficient manner (I had been canceled on last minute at another restaurant we had booked 2 weeks prior for our anniversary) and found this one in an article of newly opened restaurants in Auckland and booked it online. The next day, when they were open they emailed me right away explaining they were closed on Easter Sunday but offered to accommodate us at another date and when I chose Saturday, explained it would be quite loud due to many group bookings and not as romantic as we might have hoped, which was totally fine. Loved they cared and took time to explain this. Excellent service). We drank cocktails: Lost In Translation and the Rum Garden Mojito, both super good. We ate 5 yummy dishes: Kumara Bravas Cheeseburger Spring Rolls Grilled Broccolini 250gr Scotch Fillet Croquettes All the perfect amount and so tasty. Highly...

The Broken Lantern truly exceeded all of our expectations! The lounge-style atmosphere of this restaurant and bar creates a relaxed and comfortable vibe that is perfect for a night out. Their liquor collection is extensive with an impressive range of gin, rum, and top-shelf whiskies. The cocktails were exceptional, and the bartender even crafted a delicious off-menu drink for me.

But the real star of the show was the food. The menu offers a wide variety of shareable appetizers and main dishes, all of which were fantastic. I highly recommend trying the Ceviche, Steak, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The portion sizes were generous, and the potatoes that accompanied the steak were simply divine!

To top it off, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their impressive liquor selection. Overall, my partner and I had an amazing experience and would definitely...

Cool place! They have created a beautiful space with an extensive drinks menu and delicious food. We visited on a Saturday night and luckily nabbed one of the last tables. With the number of people in there and the DJ playing, I found the noise level just too loud if you want to have a conversation with everyone at your table. The drinks were beautiful, averaging around the $20 mark for cocktails. We had two pizzas costing $25 each, which were yummy; however, you felt a bit short-changed if you got the end pieces. We also got the fries which everyone on my table said tasted exactly like McDonald's fries- not a compliment seeing as they cost $10. Overall, I enjoyed the place, the service was excellent, and the food and beverages were good quality. It just might not be my go-to bar.
