I used to love BurgerFuel as a substantial alternative to the standard fare, but as times change, BF has started to lag behind the competition and no seems mightily overpriced for their offerings. I stopped in to the Adelaide Road outlet to try the latest special - the Punk Rock Roast. I was hoping for a hit of the promised “rich hearty gravy” but unfortunately there was no hint of any gravy at all. The Motobites were flattened beyond recognition, the chicken was over cooked and the overpowering flavour was the cranberry sauce. Basically it was a cranberry burger. The only saving grace was the fries - crispy, salty and satisfying… just not $22 satisfying.

BURGERFUEL on Adelaide Road Wellington was an absolute experience :D After a very long day, Mum and I were craving for a nice juicy burger, some smash browns and a lime thick shake. BURGERFUEL definitely satisfied both of our tastebuds! Would highly recommend coming this joint again :) On top of that, the customer service was excellent and super friendly! 5 stars all around!!!! Thanks heaps BURGERFUEL Adelaide Road in Wellington!

We may have struck this restaurant on a bad night, as they were really busy. There were four very polite young guys who appeared to be really struggling with the amount of orders and the wait times were very long. Other customers around us were clearly unhappy as well.There appeared to be a lot of confusion in the kitchen. If I was to hazard a guess, I would say there needs to be a lot more training and support given as there didn't appear to be a manager in sight. Appearances can be deceiving, so I hope I am not doing them a disservice, as the food tasted really good when we finally got it. Not sure I would go back again in a hurry. Hopefully it was just...
