We note that this BnB has all five star ratings, and we really don't want to detract from those great comments. However they day we stayed it was windy, and I mean, really, really windy. I mention this because the combination of the winds, limited parking, hilly terrain, and then all the stairs made getting to our room a challenge. Furniture is arranged nicely, and there are many terrific views overlooking Wellington and the bay. The bed and bathrooms are very clean. The property is located in a particularly hilly section of town with narrow streets. Parking is on the street in front of the B&B, and is very narrow and limited. Read moreWe stayed with Annie and Ross on our last night in the North Island before taking the ferry over to Picton to start our adventure in the South.||||Annie and Ross are a lovely couple and made us so welcome in their beautiful home overlooking Wellington. They gave us lots of great advice about local restaurants in Wellington and what to do and where to stay in the South Island.||||They greeted us with a welcome drink and we really enjoyed the lovely breakfast before departing for the early morning ferry making sure that we knew exactly where the terminal was. It would be quite easy to miss the turn off and end up heading down the motorway!||||We would have liked to spend more time with Annie and Ross and hopefully we will return in the near future. Perhaps even have a game of golf.||||Thanks again,...

Annie, the host, greeted us with a warm cup of tea after showing us our rooms, arranged for a lovely dinner reservation, and provided us with advice for our upcoming travel through the South Island. Breakfast is home made and delicious, using ingredients that the hosts grow in their garden.|The location is great, the house is on the slopes of a hill and overlooking downtown Wellington. Parking is on the street, we were lucky as a car just left when we arrived, otherwise it could be a challenge. The interior decoration is charming and fits well to the style of the house.|The BnB @ Bidwell offers two rooms which share a common bath and toilet area. As we were the only guests this was not an issue at all, but I wanted to mention it for...
