We had a grab one voucher with specific menu. Went there, was a bit too cold if placed by the window(even with heater on, the space between show glass is too wide and a bit of cold breze coming through feelinf like you are seated outside). We orderded entree outide our menu, which was chilly garlic prawns....the prawns were cooked just right, lovely faint hit of chilly, hever, garlic was vary faint to taste.main meal was a chilly chicken...rice was fragrant and lovely, the chicken was so tender ans juicy you can taste the love of cooking. Deserts...however...have been told updated a YEAR AGO, and not updated on their offer is not ok. Went from a plan a bread pudding to a plan b straberry ice cream...to be delivered without explanation a vanilla ice cream with a splah of strawberŕy concentrate...do they know the difference? I had to request cuttlery when our appetizets arrived...was verey lovely guy serving, but veru dirty and kind of get it yourself place. Would not this rate as a restaurant at all! Vwry dissapinting. Word of advice: please do wipe tables down, please do vacuum and i do t even wamt to thunk of the kitchen standards! Lucky i given 2 stars....
Read moreWent in with my little family- we were going to go to Baobab originally but decided to give this place a try and we wanted to support a new local. Ordered big breakfast, eggs bene and a waffle with golden syrup & icing sugar. Poached eggs for both breakfast dishes had raw bits and the bacon, about 3 strips stuck together while cooked and over cooked. Waffle was nice, but instead of dusted with icing sugar, it was sprinkled with a lot of cinnamon sugar? It was okay, edible, but for all 3 dishes, not what you would normally expect the cook on it to be. Coffee could also be improved. We ate the parts we could eat, gave feedback and left thinking we won’t be back but hopefully they do well and then we might be back to give...
Read moreSearched for a filling Sunday brunch and came across this restaurant that did not disappoint. We ordered the big breakfast, the 2 piece fish and chips, the garlic prawn entree and the loaded wedges. Every dish was perfect In taste and presentation 👌🏽 the chicken sausages were something different (in a good way) and I loved the touch of jeera in the sauce on the poached eggs. I realize most restaurants play it down on any spice or salt because diners in Nz like to salt their own, but these guys hit it on the head with the flavors (especially in the garlic prawns!) The batter on the fish and chips was lip smacking ! They have such service and they took the time to listen and genuinely recommend dishes without any pressure at all. Sorry I didn’t get their names but the waitress and waiter who served us are the reason we will return ALSO the food is worth every dollar :) thank you for a great...
