TANK Porirua- Smoothies, Raw Juices, Salads & Wraps — Restaurant in Wellington

Hi Tank Juice New Zealand Headquarters,

I am writing to express my utter frustration and deep disappointment with the Tank Juice Porirua branch. As a regular customer for 5 years, who frequently buys juice and smoothies for myself and my young daughter, I expect a certain standard of service and hygiene, which has recently been completely disregarded.

The Porirua branch has hired new staff, replacing the old ones, and I have significant issues with two of these new employees. Unfortunately, I cannot name them as your staff do not wear name tags. These two individuals—one slim and one overweight—who appear to be of Maori or Pacific descent based on their accents and dark brown skin, have been performing atrociously.

I have repeatedly witnessed these staff members dropping paper cups on the dirty floor and then reusing them. This is beyond unacceptable. Furthermore, they do not wear gloves while preparing drinks. I have seen them scratching their noses and itching their ears before proceeding to make smoothies or juice, which is absolutely revolting. The beverages they prepare often taste foul, as if they are expired or watered down, and they look nothing like what I usually get, sometimes even being a different color.

On the other hand, I have no issues with the other new staff members, who are white with blonde hair, white with glasses, and dark-skinned Indian. These three individuals are nice, welcoming, and very friendly to my daughter. They consistently wear gloves, maintain hygiene, and prepare juices and smoothies that taste like the original recipes. Unlike the two problematic employees who are ruining the Tank Juice experience for me and my daughter, their professionalism is commendable. This situation needs to be addressed immediately. I strongly urge you to investigate, retrain, or replace these staff members. The presence of CCTV surveillance cameras should easily corroborate these issues.

At this point, I only purchase from the Porirua branch if the competent staff (who are white with blonde hair, white with glasses, and dark-skinned Indian) are working, which is rare. It is incredibly infuriating to encounter these two problematic employees every day. My daughter and I are extremely disappointed, and we demand a prompt resolution to this issue or we will report this matter to the Council, particularly concerning the hygiene issues.

P.S. Despite the numerous bad reviews on their Google business page in recent months, the issues at the Tank Porirua branch remain...

On Saturday the 14th of September between 3pm and 4pm A few of us had witnessed a staff member place a Mop bucket in the sink used for juicing dishes filling up the bucket from the long nossel splashing dirty soap suds all over the sink bench and a juicing machine I and other customers were shocked as this is certainly cross contamination.

A second staff member who wasn't aware of this happening had then filled a silver cup with water from the same nossel that was covered in soap suds from the mop bucket then tipping that water into a juicer for the next customers juice.

I approached the 2nd staff member informing her of what we witnessed also having a few words to the person in question who was a pakeha girl who gave me an attitude for putting her on the spot as a customer I feel I have every right to question her actions from there I requested my money back which was $12 the 2nd staff member refunded I was than approached by a male customer who had also witnessed this thanked me for bringing this to the 2nd staff members attention and also requested his money back I must add there was no supervisor or manager overseeing the workers but I know for a fact they would need to question why? Money has been taken out of the till on this piticular day I have since sent an email to tank in regards to my complaint with...

TANK Porirua is a gem in the heart of the city! 🌟 If you're looking for fresh and delicious options, this is the place to go. Their smoothies are bursting with flavor and packed with nutrients. I tried the Berry Passion, and it was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. 🍓🥤

The raw juices are just as impressive, offering a refreshing and healthy pick-me-up. The Green Machine was my favorite, with a great balance of veggies and fruit that left me feeling energized and revitalized.

Their salads and wraps are also standout items on the menu. I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap, and it was absolutely mouthwatering – fresh ingredients, generous portions, and perfectly seasoned. 🥗🌯

The staff at TANK Porirua are friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. The place is always clean and inviting, with a vibrant atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal.
