Honest review from a Malaysian - I love my Malaysian food haha
We ordered 3 dishes to take away. Nasi lemak beef rendang, mee goreng vegetarian, normal mee goreng and sambal fish fillet.
Nasi lemak - beef rendang was mostly fat with minimal peanut, anchovies and cucumber with half an egg and to top it off they forgot to provide the sambal along with the dish (disappointing as that was supposed to be the star of the dish!)
Mee goreng - both were tasteless. Vegetarian mee goreng barely had any variety of vegetables and 2 sad tofu puffs. We literally ate half and chucked the rest.
Fish sambal - filled with batter and does not taste at all like a Malaysian sambal dish. Requested for it to be spicy but was mild and tasteless. Again ate half and chucked.
Overall experience was disappointing as I’ve heard good things about the food. Probably a stroke of bad luck but definitely unwilling to give it another try.
Their durian cake is good. I’d go back for their cakes but not the food.
Zero disrespect here, we spent over $120 and expected quality. Hope you guys improve on the food...
Read moreCame here for lunch the other day with a friend and I'm so glad I did. The workers were so friendly and polite, the food had big portions and were delicious.
Star of the show was definitely the cake they sell. We got a slice of the green tea layered cake, the mango layered cake, and chocolate cheesecake.
With the green tea crepe cake, they let the green tea be the main flavour, and not sugar which I often find a problem other cafes can't perfect.
The mango layered cake had fresh mango layered between the crepes, and was both refreshing and sweet.
Lastly, the chocolate cheesecake suprized me with how well they made such a simple concept so rich with flavour. Often, I find cafés make chocolate flavoured deserts to sweet, but they had a perfect balance of sweetness with the richness of the overall dessert.
Overall, me and my friend definitely recommend this café to everyone, especially since they're open for many...
Read moreReally good Malaysian food. They have the normal items as well as some of the less common items. Their char kwei tiew is nice as is their wan ton mee. They have crepe cake to sell by the slice in the cabinet up front. They have lots of different flavours including durian if you like that. They also have goodies on sale on the counter including cookies and fried sea weed. Nice place to grab some food if you're in the area. Quite a nice and quaint cafe with really tasty Malaysian food.
Edit: Most recently we had takeaway of wan tan mee, sambal chicken rice and the Nonya Fried Rice. They were all really nice but I quite liked the wat tan mee. It had a nice sauce and nice toppings. The sambal was also quite nice but it wasn't...
