Sue is incredible! I hadn't had my hair cut for nearly two years (due to having dreads) one day I decided I was going to cut them out (myself) when I arrived back from overseas. While I was overseas I had made an appt with another stylist from a different business but they canceled with me about 3 hrs before my appt with them. I had work on Monday and it was Saturday and my hair was looking disgraceful (as u can imagine after hacking at it for 8 hrs) I called Sudan hairdressing and was so grateful Sue was available to see me 2hrs later on such sort notice. I have to honestly say she is the best hairdresser I have every come across. For 6yrs previous to my dreads I had my hair cut every 2 months just about. None of those times can compare to Sue's talent. What an amazing woman! Sue listened to me and what I wanted, I showed her a couple of pics and just wow! I was in Auckland on holiday earlier this year and had time to make a hair appointment so popped into Sudan after hearing from a friend as to how good they are. Sue looked after me with my colouring and Dan did the cutting/styling. I was served a first class espresso coffee - better than most cafes! The music in the background created a wonderful casual feel to this bright, arty oasis in Glen Eden. The shop, although on the main road wasn't easy to see at first because of trees, although the next door ASB landmark and being across from the historic train station helped. I love my hairdresser in Christchurch, however the work in this salon was first class - wish I could go there all the time. I have been going to Sudan Haidressing for many years now. I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Sue, Dan, Lucy, and Lauren are soooo lovely and are always welcoming. They listen to their clients and offer really good advice and I always walk away satisfied with my hair cut. I book in with Lucy who is the absolute BEST with colour.
