I went to Cafe Cezanne for dinner 17/2/15 5:30 ish. The Menu looked quite appetizing so I ordered the home made Kiwi Burger $12.00 and possibly the cheapest meal. Towards the end of my meal I found a small black curly hair in my meal. I debated for several minutes whether to say something or not as I had eaten nearly my whole meal, but i decided that they should know. Their reaction astounded me. They accused me of trying to get a free meal out of them by planting one of my own hairs, yes i have snort black curly hair also, furthermore they then said that should I cause any commotion in this matter that they would call the police and have me arrested. Finally they informed me that there was no way that I will be getting a refund. this is incredibly poor customer service. At all times I was polite and respectful and asked to speak to the owner. The owner was eventually called and during the ensuing conversation, out the back and out of my hearing they all (3) of them including the chef, came back refunded my money with no apology and asked me to leave and never come back again. Essentially they are saying that should you have a complaint about the food or the service that not only do they not want to know about it but you may have the police involved should they decide that its warranted?? I for one was not sorry to leave and have no intention of returning and will take my hard earned dollars elsewhere in future. Very Very Poor, by the way, I enjoyed the hamburger up to that point but the whole ordeal left a very sour taste in...
Read moreI had eggs benedict, open chicken sandwich, and kumara, pineapple and coconut cake. Everything was average or below average. Eggs Benedict: 3 porched eggs and salmon taste were good but the potatoes were so plain. I don’t understand it could be better if they just put herb salt or something. It just needed a minimal effort on it. Also, there were 2 extra slices of bread except for English muffin which was too much bread. I think they don’t want empty space on the plate. Chicken Sandwich: Was ok. Small portion of chicken. Kumara, pineapple and coconut cake was worst. It looked so yum but it was so dry and cake surface was hard…. What a disappointment. It was not fresh at all. It seemed like they kept cake in the cabinet for a long time. It was $8 which is not even cheap for a slice of cake. Everything could be...

They are very well known for their delectable home made cakes that adorn the food cabinets, so much so, that the a dilemma always arises when trying to decide on what cake to choose so it’s always an advantage to visit in small groups of 2 to 4 people so you can share!
