The Fisherman, Cuban Ranch — Restaurant in San Juan del Sur (Municipio)

I went to this place today and it was a big mistake! I never knew I’d be screamed at and called racist slurs by the owner. The staff was amazing and the food was good but the owner decided to take a speaker phone call in the middle of our dinner right next to us. We began taking loud mimicking her and she noticed but continued on for about 15 minutes. When we finally paid one of my 12 year old nephews who had gone to the beach early started to go to deep and he can’t swim. I yelled at him to come in to the restaurant once while outside of restaurant and at the owner pounced on us asking us to please be quiet in the restaurant (mocking us for telling her to be quiet earlier) . I told her that because she asked I would be quiet. Then she started calling me foul names in Spanish and told me to go back to where I came from because of my white appearance. Although I am Nicaraguan, she kept saying racist remarks and kicked me and my cousin & sister out of the restaurant screaming racist remarks. I couldn’t believe it. Then she started filming me and making it seem like she was going to call the police after I had spent over $100+ dollars at her restaurant. I would never come here again and if you are a foreigner or from the USA I would recommend not going here because she is racist and from the remarks she made, she hates white people. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, filet mignon and garlic lobster. The filet mignon was excellent EXCEPT the shrimp cocktail. Do not order if you are not a fan of creamy sauce. It doesn't state it on the menu. It was not good at all. We pretty much only ate the 3 shrimps on the outside and a small amount of plantain chips that came with it. By the time we got to the cocktail itself, we left it all. I told the waiter this and he pretty much said we took too long to tell them and they couldn't do anything about it. Just to consider if you don't like the quality or taste of something here they may not resolve it. Our downfall was that we took "too long" to taste the shrimp cocktail itself. The garlic lobsters (2) were a little dry and could have used more garlic sauce but that's a preference. The melon and watermelon drink...

I recently visited the establishment and unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. While I appreciate the effort put into the place, I don't recommend going there as I believe better customer service can be provided. If you would like to attract more customers, I suggest treating all customers with a extra care. I hope you take this feedback positively and work towards improving your services. EDIT : Hi.
