On December 2023, I visited this hotel, where I was a frequent guest, as I visited at least once a month. I had never had any problems until my last visit when hotel staff allowed an unknown person into my room while I was away (I was at the beach), and this individual stole my wallet with C$4000 in cash and all my cards. When I returned and informed the receptionist that my wallet had been stolen from my room, she showed absolutely no concern and took no action. We contacted the owner, who also showed no concern. A few hours later, my credit cards were used for several purchases totaling C$18000. I reported this again to the reception, and they literally said, "it's not my problem, wait until tomorrow." We contacted the owner the next day, and he did not apologize, only offered us a dinner... Seeing his cynicism and lack of professionalism, I informed him that I would cancel the rooms by bank transfer since my cards had been stolen from my room... to which he replied, "obviously I'm not going to charge you." And that was the last I heard from this hotel... They did not assist us with police procedures, never sent anyone from the hotel to apologize, were never courteous, and the morning receptionist said nothing either. In the end, I lost C$22000, and the hotel showed no interest... perhaps they would have been more concerned if I were a foreigner, but since I am a national, they did not consider it important.
I'm usually not the type of person to write negative reviews. However, this was a situation I wouldn't wish on anyone. I'm writing today, encouraged by several friends who own hotels, to whom I've told...
Read moreRoom was ok, not the one we were shown but no problem. Staff was friendly. Shower was weird, no hot water or longer then 30 seconds - and shower head was positioned like a rain shower but was actually just a normal shower head. Breakfast is very mediocre at best - the pancakes were served without love (maybe some fruit, tidy it up) and were dry too. The breakfast burrito is the way to go, it...
