Trying to scam us… try again. Let me set the scene, friday night after a sunny day at the beach surfing, me and my friends decide to go into town for drinks and food. While we are driving we come across a sign that says 2 cocktails for 6$. Immediately my friend louis said that that was the place for him. We therefore go into the restaurant to buy cocktails. that night we buy 6 cocktails, 5 strawberry daiquiris and 1 other cocktail. When we get the bill the total is 18$ so all is fine. Day 2 (the scam day), after another long day and a loss of phone in the water by louis and a punchured tire on a motorbike we decide that we deserve a cocktail. Therefore we go to the same restaurant and get 3 strawberry daiquiris and one other cocktail. They all get served at the same time and we are feeling a lot better. When SUDDENLY fransesco (waiter) arrive and brings us one extra daiquiri and one extra of the other cocktail. At first we are confused so we call him over and say that he must have made a mistake because we didn’t order 6 but 4. But then he says that it is different cocktails and that therefore they have to come by pairs (the offer only works with the same cocktails) even though we had not been told that at all and it clearly says 2 cocktails for 6$ not 2 strawberry daiquiris for 6$. Anyway after numerous lies and disrespectful comments the staff don’t even compensate us for the errors that they made. I had probably the worst ever service experience at this restaurant today. My family went for my grandmothers birthday and what started as a joyful lunch quickly turned sour. To start off we waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. 1 hour later we still don’t have our food and our waiter has given us no word of what is going on with our order. Finally we ask and he lets us know that he forgot to input the orders into the system. He did not seem apologetic at all and simply walked away. We received 1 of the dishes out of the 12 ordered within the next 20 minutes. Finally after almost 2 hours of waiting we received some more of the food. After everyone was half way through their meal the waiter lets us know that they are sold out of the octopus because we took too long to order??!!!! This was the tipping point as we had been here two hours and this was totally his fault for not placing the order correctly. He then said that he could give us a compensation but it would have to come out of his wallet to try and make us feel bad. Daniel the manager did nothing to correct or even showed remorse or concern about the horrible food, service and overpriced food. We asked "server" about the chicken wings costing 320C, +-$8.75 US said no thank you. They were brought to our table anyway, when we said we didn't want them, the server made it out that he couldn't take them back. We ended up taking them as he wouldn't let is go. The overcooked, cardboard tasting and less than par wings we all decided to share the cost on were not even worth the effort to chew. When we asked for the manager, Danial, said he couldn't do anything. I would recommend McDonald's over this tourist trap and probably the worst restaurant in SJDS. Will never go back as i am a resident here and will NEVER GO BACK!! Do not waste your money here when there are so many other restaurants that actually care for their customers.
