We were discriminated against. We came for a jazz night my friends and I at trib3 Lagos. There was no place on their website where they said there had to be reservation made before we could participate. We walked in as usual and asked for a table for three only to be taken to a back room (where we could only hear the sound but no view whatsoever, right behind a glass wall) We asked why we couldn't sit in the main lounge considering it was half empty. We were told reservations had been made ( note the jazz night starts 7pm we walked in around 8pm). This is not the first time so I knew we were being discriminated against based on our appearances perhaps we were not looking too sophisticated enough. ( I love to dress simply). We were later told to wait for a while and then will decide if we can move to the main space. We gave them 10 minutes, at this time we were irritated by their services. And when it was past the time we gave, we were on our way out when someone( one of the waiters) came and said "oh you can have your seat at the main lounge". We looked and just gave them a very sorry look. Apparently there was no reservation made. They just kept the reservation hoping some celebrity or bigger sophisticated person would come in. Y'all lose customers based on sentiments. Nigeria restaurants should do better...Whereas outside the country restaurant owners just want their money they would never size you up.
All we ever wanted was to order as much good food as we see on that menu and enjoy it with a wonderful cocktail while Jazz is being played in the background. Unfortunately...
Read moreMy take on the RNB 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY....
Trib3 Lagos is a conducive space, the food is top-notch as well, so first of all what dragged my attention was the Queen Idia and Queen Nefertiti of Egypt artwork which I saw on their page...
Firstly we had the prawn spring rolls as starters, we took the Lagos rock and 3rd mainland, few bottles I guess if that's what it's called, the drinks were smooth and superb.....
We now had 2 Nigerian Platters so it could go round the 7 of us, the meat was well grilled and tasty.
On the menu it was said that it was served with a side of choice but we paid for the side we were given, we asked the server Godspower a young, fair gentleman who was attending to us for the side dish, he was telling us that the platter doesn't have a side dish beside the yam fries in it. We were perplexed but we remained calm, because he made us look stupid, notwithstanding, we were approached by a gentleman, who introduced himself as a floor supervisor who asked us about the services we got, how the food tasted and also the drinks, the ambience of the place and how we should rate by dropping a review on the website.
So we came back on Sunday and the ambience was lovely with live performances. We encountered a nice server, Abbey who served us well and gave us everything as we ordered.
The management should look forward to correcting the staff who actually billed us extra. Aside that, TRIB3 is a place we'll always love to...
Read moreI had the pleasure of being served by Solomon on Sunday at Trib3 Lagos, and I was thoroughly impressed! Not only was the service top-notch, but Solomon demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, anticipating needs and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
His attention to details, ability to multitask, and effective communication with the kitchen on how our food should be made and other team members who helped served us were truly impressive. He showed a natural talent for managing our table, ensuring that every glass in the table was filled with drinks, and me and my girls were happy and well cared for.
I have no doubt that Solomon has the skills and dedication to excel in his job. I just admire how you poured our drinks in the glass and also how you took the cocktail order without making mistakes.
The Bartenders and kitchen did a great job, the Nigerian Platter was superb and also the herb rice is something I might love to come back for.
Great job, Solomon. You truly deserve an applause from me and my girls.
More grace...
