Google Review I had one of the most disappointing experiences booking and staying at this hotel through a booking site. Here’s a detailed account of my ordeal: The Booking Process: I made my reservation on a booking platform, selecting my dates and getting a confirmed price in USD. My booking was confirmed, and I was sent an address that turned out to be entirely different from the location I had initially booked. Upon inquiry, I was informed that the address was for their studio rooms, not the main property. When I arrived, I discovered the location was primarily a lounge with rooms attached. This was a concern since the lounge was the first thing you notice upon arrival, which wasn't made clear during booking. Room Booking and Payment: I was taken to reception and shown the rooms. The first room (called Oliver Twist) had a tiny window tucked in a corner, which felt claustrophobic. The second option had a larger window, but it was awkwardly placed behind the bed, making it unusable. Reluctantly, I chose the Oliver Twist room, hoping the AC would compensate for the lack of natural light. When it came time to pay, I was quoted a significantly higher amount than the price I booked. Despite explaining the confirmed amount from the booking platform, the receptionist and manager insisted on using an inflated exchange rate of N1,750 instead of the current rate of N1,660. When I shared my budget (based on the booking confirmation), the manager reluctantly agreed, making it seem like she was doing me a favor. This situation left me feeling frustrated, as it’s the responsibility of the hotel and booking platform to resolve discrepancies, not to put customers in awkward situations. My Stay: I paid for 5 nights, but the stay was riddled with issues from the start. After being shown to my room, the electricity went off just 10 minutes later. It was around 5 PM, and the room was already dim due to the small window. I spent nearly 2 hours in the dark while waiting for the generator to be fixed. Although the manager came by to apologize and promised a half-rate refund for that day, the refund was never given. There was no internet throughout my stay. The power was not consistent, contrary to any expectations of 24/7 electricity. This lack of transparency was deeply frustrating. The worst experience came on Saturday when I had an important event. There was no electricity, and the shower stopped running. Despite calling reception at 6 PM, I was met with a simple "sorry" and no further action. I had to go to a friend's place to shower and get ready, which was incredibly inconvenient and embarrassing. The Staff: While the staff were polite and courteous, they often hovered around the hallways near the rooms. I later learned their staff quarters were on the same floor, which explained the constant chatter and noise I overheard. Conclusion: This experience was one of the worst I’ve had with a hotel or short-let property. Both the booking platform and the hotel need to ensure accurate and consistent information is provided to customers to avoid unnecessary confusion. Transparency about the services available (such as power supply, internet, etc.) is essential, allowing customers to make informed decisions. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone looking to have 24/7 light service and internet unless significant improvements are made to the management, communication, and services.

The environment is clean and calm. I love the setup, it looks good. I ordered for Peopersoup and white rice only to get Peopersoup filled with yam with “a touch of meat” I believe the yam was added to make the portion look bigger. Even the soup that was supposed to be in the Peppersoup was tasting yam. It was that bad. The food was disappointing. The service charge on the bill wasn't even necessary. The person who attended to me was helpful so I would say customer service is good.

Wow! What an incredible stay at Oliver Twist! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the decor was stylish and chic.

The room was beautifully appointed, with every amenity I needed and more. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was spotless, and the view was stunning.

But what really made my stay special was the attention to detail and the personalized service. The team went above and beyond to make me feel at home, and I appreciated every moment of it.

The breakfast was delicious, the location was perfect, and the overall vibe was relaxing and rejuvenating. I left feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world!

If you're looking for a boutique hotel experience that's truly unforgettable, look no further than Oliver Twist Five stars,...
