Zayda is truly a beautiful spot a perfect blend of modern design and picturesque charm. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that feels almost made for the 'gram. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated to create a warm, inviting, and visually stunning experience.
I made a reservation in advance, and everything went exactly as planned. I even had a special request, which they handled seamlessly a thoughtful touch that made the evening feel even more personal.
While dining, I noticed several guests celebrating birthdays, which added a lively and cheerful energy to the space. It’s clear that Zayda is an ideal choice not just for intimate dinners, but also for social gatherings and business meet-ups.
The music played softly in the background, setting the mood without overpowering conversation. It was refreshing to enjoy a meal and chat comfortably without having to raise my voice.
When it came to the food, I started with the tacos, which were delicious and bursting with flavor. I also ordered a smoothie though beautifully presented, I found it overly sweet and couldn’t finish it. For my main dish, I had the Cajun roast half chicken, which was impressively large. While I expected the seasoning to penetrate deeper into the chicken, it seemed to sit mostly on the surface. I suppose that’s what the sides were meant to complement, and overall, it was still a satisfying dish.
My partner opted for the Thai orange chicken curry, and wow it was truly a standout. Flavorful, well balanced, and definitely a dish I would highly recommend.
One surprise, however, was the additional ₦5,000 charge for takeout packaging. I found this quite steep and something future guests might want to be aware of.
The service throughout was attentive and professional, though I did notice the menu prices weren’t updated I only realized this at the point of payment.
Overall, Zayda offers a memorable dining experience. It’s the kind of place where you can take as many photos as you like just be mindful not to disturb other guests. Whether you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a beautiful evening out, Zayda is definitely...
Read moreI had a 3 course meal with a friend and we were totally dissatisfied(13th November,2024) Starting from the salty tacos served as an appetizer to the salty rice and the dessert was just manageable. Considering it was my birthday and they didn't bring a special birthday cake for me ,I was asked to pay 10k . For someone who spent 60k there? Rest room isn't good enough for a lady to freshen up , needs to be remodelled and it isn't well ventilated as it has a very awful smell. The creamy pasta wasn't hot enough ( they probably served me a left over pasta ) Zayda needs a well skilled chef who understands when not to add too much salt that can trigger someone's ailments . Likewise using the right condiments to make their meals tasty . My birthday brunch was awful..
PS ; The owner didn't take responsibility for this awful service and disregarded my experience that's what a typical Nigerian would do. How you served a salty meal without realizing it until I asked them to take it away ,then they realized their mistakes. The spaghetti situation was a lie... Your ac was turned off where I sat, even I kept telling them to turn it on. The tacos, had a lot of salt or I don't understand if your chef is obsessed with salt but, you decided to hire a cheap labour. FYI, the guests besides me complained too. What do you have to say about your rest room? I forgot to talk about your cocktail... I have no exact word to describe it.
Dear Zayda owner,
I travel around the world and eat in restaurants likewise on the island, for me to rate your restaurant 1 start means it was bad! Me and my guest were dissapointed, shame on your response for being biased with your clueless waiters. Everything is rated 1 star at your restaurant and it will be online for people...
Read moreHello Zayda team. Your service was extremely slow for a table of 6 upstairs on the 29th of November. It was a birthday launch. It took hours to get service and cocktails by the time the food came it was hard to refuse the white rice mixed with curry and uncooked red peppers served with dry calamari that you called paella rice. We were so hungry we ate with absolute dissatisfaction complaining about the taste all the way. The Alfredo pasta came 30 mins + later in a wine glass which was absolutely unnecessary too because the size for what we paid was absolutely ridiculous and the taste of the cream was like mayonnaise too basic for Alfredo pasta. Coming back to the paella rice that was 26,000 too poor because we are in Nigeria we wouldn’t have paid atleast 40,000 of the 248,000 we had to pay for the stupid service and dry meal. Honestly the only thing was ambiance but y’all need to work on the food damn!!! It...
