The cookies and cakes all look aesthetic, and tastes amazing too. They dont have syrup for coffee, which is sad, but their mocca is good. Had to go and ask for milk to cool it down, and no offer for a spoon for it either. But I'll come here again for aesthetic Italian food, gotta try the pizza👌🏻
(Back here a year later)
The food was amazing, I had nr.3, I cant remember what it was called😅, and maxi meringue was AMAZING. Actually got pics this time. I recommend this place, 9/10 (Could've had more shrimp in the pasta)
NEW UPDATE 2024:
The food: I had penne al salmoe / gamberi (205kr) which I've had before and we all know you should be careful about seafood in restaurants, but last time it went good and this time as well!
The salmon tastes amazingly, really taste the salmon, its not some "background" taste. The scampi tastes fresh, you feel the texture and how solid soft it's supposed to be, much better than the cheap stuff you get at the store.
It smells amazing.
The pasta is cooked to perfection, the sauce is Creamy and really strengthen all the other parts of the dish, you can taste the separate but also how well they go together.
I absolutely recommend this dish, it's such a high rate in my opinion, so it's a 10, naturally.
The atmosphere: It's very welcoming, the lights are warm, the seatings are well spaced out, seats are comfortable, you can out tables together, but you have to order for that. The utensils, plates, glasses and tables were very clean, the glasses and utensils were slightly wet, indicating they came right from being cleaned.
I overall recommend this place if you want someone calm, few people, Italian...
Read moreWether you're planning to stay in Ålesund for a while and looking for a good place to eat daily, or just passing by, searching for some delicious italian pizza, this is the perfect spot. Located in the more reserved and nostalgic part of the city, this near perfect representation of a classic italian cuisine. The atmosphere is nice, its not quiet, but not too loud either. And the pizza itself lives up to all your expectations, its absolutely fantastic. If you want to, you can choose the size of your pizza, and then pay per gram, which is a new and interesting way to do it. It works quite well too, although its quicker to just pick a default size. The staff are not Norwegian and most of them will speak english, but thats not a problem at all. They are all very friendly and velcoming (from my experience). There are a lot of vegan pizza options, if you're into that kind of grass food. And when you're done eating a mouth-watering, outstandingly delicious piece of pizza, you can feast on the other part of the restaurant, the bakery Yes, this pizza place has a designated shelf with cakes, cookies and other tasty treats. I haven't got to trying them all, but its all relatively cheap, sugary goodness. Perfect for a post-pizza snack. All in all, a great restaurant, and a great...
Read moreA nice little spot to enjoy some lunch. Good atmosphere, clean and inviting with a bright and open locale. Staff were smiling and helpful.
I didn’t check the menu because their pizza counter immediately caught my attention.
From there they mix you a plate from a variety of different pizzas cut to size as you order. This was a perfect solution for my lunch cravings on this day. “One small taste of that one, a big piece of that, and a taste of the that…” and so on. 👌🏼
Flavor wise it was really good, if I have to nitpick there was maybe a bit too much cheese but that’s really nitpicking! Combinations were nice, crust, toppings, everything was as I would expect.
They also serve a lot of really nice looking cakes and sweets.
Moderate and fair pricing. I paid about what I would...
