Namaste Indian tandoori — Restaurant in Ålesund

I had the privilege of witnessing one of the most exceptional restaurant servitor I’ve ever seen. She was a petite young lady, yet her energy, efficiency, and professionalism were truly remarkable. What amazed me the most was that she managed the entire restaurant completely on her own—without any additional help. From taking orders to serving food, and even preparing drinks, she handled everything flawlessly.

Her ability to multitask while maintaining a warm and welcoming attitude left a lasting impression on me. The way she managed every detail with such grace and precision truly reflects her dedication and passion for her work.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, not only for its great food but also for the outstanding service. I will definitely be coming back again with my family.

Our food was delicious. We got the lamb Tikka masala, hyderabad (chicken) biryani, and I think a mango mojito - I tried to order the margarita and they were out of something so I took the alternative. It was all really good. I have a favorite Indian food place where I used to live and it's the standard by which I compare them all...I think this may have met it.

The spice level was wonderful. I love spicy and haven't really found anything spicy in Norway. I am careful at Thai restaurants often and in Alesund I have done the maximum spice and felt like it was barely spicy. Here I did medium...and it left a savory smoldering heat for several minutes.

We walked in on a Saturday night and were promptly sat at a lovely window table without a reservation. It was not so busy- and the service was very nice. The lighting and design of the place is very inviting! It doesn’t seem to be so cozy in the back portion of the restaurant. The drinks are probably the best prices in town- 139kr for a cocktail! The spicy mango margarita was blended and delicious -with a definite kick! We ordered two starters, two meals, and naan bread. We don’t recommend ordering just a meal to be completely full.
