T.G.I. Fridays - Ole Bulls Plass — Restaurant in Bergen

2 stars at best, and that’s being generous. Came here solo on a wednesday evening, not too busy. To begin with there was no one to greet people walking in, and took a good 5-10 minutes for someone to notice me standing at the door. Eventually I got seated, placed on a 4-top table around a fairly busy family area, which I thought was a bit strange seeing as there were other 2-top tables being waited that were quieter and more suitable to 1 persons, but - fine. Well, it then took a good 10-15 minutes for a waitress to even realize I got sat at a table, after I was sitting there looking around having finally made contact with one to notice me sitting there. So the waitress for that section finally came over, and I ordered water and the Cajun chicken pasta…then it took ANOTHER good 15 minutes for her to even bring me water. This was around 8pm on a Wednesday, not very busy. While I was waiting for the food then I noticed 2 tables nearby both had to flag down the waitress to finally pay their bills, one even had to get up and find a waiter. Food came and it was sub-par, not so much flavor, but OK. Waitress didn’t check on me once while I was eating. Finished my food and thought I would order a dessert, but the waitress never came over to my table, despite having waited the table right next to me. I finally had to flag her down when she was walking from the other side of the room and decided to just order the dessert to go and pay the bill. Not the best experience at...

We were 3 people and orderd 4 starters but explained to the waiter the 1 of the starters was to deliverd as a main meal. So we waited for 40 min because there was a lot of people and then 1 of us got his starter, anotherr 20 min went by and we asked about the other starters, then another 5 min went by before the second starter come and it was more or less cold, then another 15 min go by and the last starter come together with the first main meal. Another 5 mim go by and the rest of the food come.. We asked for a discount based on the time we waited, the cold starter and that we had to ask what happened to our food, but that was not possible.. so i can not recomend this place and will not be coming back...

Avarage experience, chicken is on the dry side, service is okay.

The good thing is they follow the korona rules quite closely with masks. The food is good do not get me wrong, but I would personally expect a bit more for the price. Especially the garden salad which just consisted of a small handful of iceberg lettuce, some spinach, 4 cherry tomatoes and a sour vinegarette (for 39kr). The sesame chicken starter did not have any sesame on it. The crispy chicken tenders were a bit dry for my taste. The ribs could have more meat. Also the server got my order slightly wrong with the drink. It is just small mistakes that overall make it just an ok experience.
