I recently visited a Italian restaurant which tucked away in the center of the city, and the experience left a lasting impression—especially when it came to the food.
Let’s start with the pizza. The dough was outstanding—not too thick, not too thin—just that ideal, balanced texture that holds its structure while still being light and airy. Baked in a traditional Italian oven, it had a beautifully crisp base with a hint of smokiness around the edges. Every bite was full of flavor, with fresh toppings that let the craftsmanship of the dough shine through.
And dessert? Pure indulgence. The tiramisu was made with soft sponge layers soaked in rich espresso, then layered with a light, velvety mascarpone cream. The bitterness of the coffee and the smoothness of the cream were perfectly matched, making each spoonful feel luxurious without being heavy.
Whether you’re craving comfort food or celebrating something special, this place brings the heart of Italy to every dish. It’s more than a meal—it’s a moment...
Read morePizza is never a bad idea. But Villa Paradiso in Bergen is bad idea.
Location: Central, but not cozy Italian. Bad acoustics and layout of the restaurant.
Service: I guess they try. But the workers bump into each other because of the bad layout in th restaurant. They all seemed annoyed.
Food: we looked forward to some real napolitan pizza and fresh pastas.... ... Pasta was a bit hard on the outside. Seemed old. Didn't taste well either.
Pizza was super soggy. Under the pizza - no nice pattern; it was black burned and white. And even the black area was super soggy. The inner 90% of the pizza didn't feel like pizza. The crust / cornicione was OK.
Diceroll 0 😱 I actually fancy pizza a lot.. but it didn't finish this one.. (probably the...
Read moreDon't waste your time here. Simple food like lasagna order by my friends took ca 45min to come, but my dish took around 30min on top of that. In the least respected restaurant everything is served together when ready. After questioning the whereabouts of my dish, came that waiter identified as "Angel" on the uniform, thinking he was doing a favor and that he was in Italy where the plate is dropped on the table as if he was doing a favor. A ramen done in 10 minutes at home would be better than that garbage linguini after 75 minutes. Any of the restaurants around will be a better choice, so just avoid...
