We have been living in Oslo for past several years but never had a chance to visit Egon. Now, after our first visit in Bodø, we know just how much we've been missing! Such a caring personnel, especially ms. Feruza, such a wonderful atmosphere, extremely delicious food. We'll definitely be regular patrons from now on. Thank you very much!
For those confused with the ordering system: note the message at the entrance. It says that you just select any table you like and take the menu yourself. When you're ready to order, just go to the bar, name the number of your table (it's written on the table) and make an order. It will be served by the waiter. You can pay when ordering or when you're done.
Also, the kids buffet is a great idea. There's few dishes there already ready to be eaten. No need for children to wait for the order...
Read moreWe had a very good dining experience at Egon. We have been there for lunch twice already this week. We are vegetarians and the menu has good vegetarian options. Yesterday we tried the bruschetta, fajitas, vegetarian burger and milkshakes. Everything was very tasty. The server mentioned that they fry the French fries in the oil which they use fry meat too and can give a side of potatoes instead, which we really appreciated. Today we had the bruschetta, quesadilla and chikn (vegan) Asian bowl for lunch today. Also I asked the server if the chef can make us a vegetarian pasta throwing some veggies and tomato sauce and he obliged and we had a hearty meal. The apple pie was exquisite too. Read moreWas very excited to try Egon on our trip through. I chose the smaller sized steak in the surf and turf. Shrimp were rubber, way over cooked. Steak was perfect (... try cooking the shrimp while the steak is resting so the both come out hot and cooked perfect) Grilled pinapple had skin still on it....not a fan. My brother got the larger peppered steak (no turf) and his steak was over cooked. We both ordered med/rare steak. Both came with a side of fries and broccolini (cooked perfectly). Pear cider was delicious! In the photos it looks very appetizing, very eye catching.....but a let down on consistency and delivery.
