Gatsby — Restaurant in Bodø

The food was good and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself warm. The staff unfortunately was not very committed/engaged. It began during the entrance, when someone in our group at first adressed one of the staff in Norwegian since we didn't know he was not from Norway. The waiter strangely didn't react understandingly to that, but almost negatively. When bringing the drinks, another member of the staff didn't put the bottles down, but sort of dropped it for the last centimeter. On it's own that's certainly not a big deal, but later when paying, it was almost like the card reader was also thrown on the table before me, which is very impolite. You should never distantly drop the card reader in front of a customer, but instead place it or give it. When we were finished eating, it took a long time for someone from the staff to notice that we wanted to pay. Also, when we left the staff didn't take time to look up when we paused on our way out to say goodbye, even though they didn't seem to be occupied with work.

Long story short, good food but the engagement of the staff definitely needs...

Had an awesome time at Gatsby in Bodø, Norway, last night. The place has a cool vibe and the staff were super welcoming. I went for the Blue Cheese Burger and it blew my mind – easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The cocktails were on point too, each one we tried was a hit.

But it wasn’t just the food and drinks that made the night. Gatsby has some fun games that got everyone laughing and competing, which was a blast. And the dancing! The music was great, and the atmosphere just makes you want to get up and join in. Hanging out with the staff was the cherry on top; they were all about making sure everyone had a good time, joining in on the games and dances, making the whole experience feel like a night out with friends.

Definitely a spot worth checking out in Bodø. Whether you’re in it for the killer burgers, cool cocktails, games, or just a great place to dance and hang out,...

We had some burgers and grilled salmon. The meat and the fish were not so good yesterday (31.08.2019). So unfortunately have to make a bad rating this time. Have been at Gatsby before and it was quiet okay. The sides (fries, nuggets, sauces also drinks) were good, also the waiter was nice and helped. But as the meat is central for the burger it should be perfect. Had a strange taste and was really try. Would go or prefer medium roasted meat. Price level like everywhere in Norway. There are some better places in Bodø... Br, Jonas
