After our travel plans had to be changed after a train derailment, we emailed to tell the restaurant that we would be later than our reservation. Getting a flight instead of the train meant we would get in later and there were weather complications for the flight was delayed. The reservations team didn’t check their emails and we had a call to ask us where we were. After explaining again and indicating when we would arrive we were told it was fine. When we arrived at the restaurant the staff weren’t very understanding and we were rushed to make a quick order with the promise that - although they couldn’t do starters now, they would be able to do main courses and dessert. The waitress kept hassling us for our order, even 5 minutes after getting there - our friends had to put their young child to bed so we’re unable to join straight away. With an underwhelming limited menu of 6 main courses, and having seen images from the restaurant prior to dining, we went for the easy option of the burger, which by the images online came with a handmade bun, shoestring fries and looked like a suitably elevated burger for its setting. The waitress told us that the food would come in 10 minutes (from ordering) whether our guests had arrived or not - and it was not their issue that we were late. This was the second red flag. Our guests arrived and the food came quickly - worryingly so, as I’m unaware of anyone that could produce 3 burgers and ‘roasted’ meat plate in such a short time - The chefs clearly couldn’t be bothered and had probably microwaved our food, zapping out any last remaining flavour, The quality was poor, and looked nothing like the elevated burgers were promised. The fries were clearly frozen ones that they reheated. Paying so much you would expect at least hand cut fries. When we finished eating and had asked for the dessert menu - we were told that it was too late - and the chefs had gone home (9.40). If you’re expecting an experience and good quality food - this isn’t the place for you. If you want a lazy menu with lazy staff who hate their jobs and overpriced “roasted” microwaved food, then go here - but you’ll get a better burger from McDonald’s and better...

We had the ceviche and the smell and after taste was very off. We told the waitress and she said she could give us 15% off and that other customers also had made complaints about the ceviche. We just left it at that even though she should have just asked us if we wanted something else and ofcourse just taken it off our bill. You shouldn’t have to pay for fish gone bad.

And then the maincourse arrived. Tasteless and very dissapointing all in all. We both decided this was the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had.

When the bill came the ceviche was still on, but we had got a 15% off. We said that we didn’t want to pay for it and then was told that the ceviche had been taken off the menu for the night, and suddenly said that she could take it off our bill. Very strange way to handle it all. It shouldn’t have been on there in the first place and especially after they had taken it off the menu. That said, the waitress was very nice, just maybe not so experienced.

Left the restaurant feeling nauseous and later got stomach problems. I would give no stars if it...

*Please note that this review is revised! I will have to bump this restaurant up one star. Now, I've only been here twice, so it's been 50/50 good and bad, but today definitely changed my view on the place. Service was excellent and the staff listened to what I said and the food was exemplary 👌 Looking forward to return!

1st review below: I was here once and I felt a good vibe from the waitresses, but unfortunately the cooks here won't do you good with a taste for over-salty ingredients.

They served vegetables covered in salt and sweet potatos I couldn't eat because they were too salty. Very disappointing.

Anybody heard "Too much salt is bad for your blood and heart"? Well, if you like salt n' don't care, This is the place to go.

I will roll with 2 stars, and they are only for the staff...

Has a wonderful meal on a cold wet miserable evening. It’s in the top floor (17th) of the Scandic Havet. Take the lift and you enter the lobby area to the bar/restaurant. Wonderful view over the city or over the harbour if you just go to the bar. Not a huge menu but good choices. I had the ratatouille (which was a side) as a starter. Small portion but rich and delicious. Had the Cod loin for my main and it was amazingly fresh and tasty. For desert I selected the Anana (pineapple and coconut cake) with sorbet. This was out of this world. What a great combo Pineapple and Coconut is. The coconut was toasted so it had a nutty flavour. Best desert I’ve had in many many years. To drink I had a local Norwegian gin and then retired with a beer at the bar to look over the harbour. Truly wonderful.

I am staying in the hotel and after 22 hours of travel to get to Bodo, I did not want to go anywhere else for dinner. As others have commented, the restaurant us on the 17th floor. Even on a grey and rainy night the views were great. At 9:30 at night there were still lots of people in both the restaurant and bar. It was noisy, so if you want a social environment this will be perfect. I had the entrecote. Nicely done. Tender beef. Served on a wooden board with little pots for the fries and salad. My only surprise was that I was expecting a green salad. The menu did not say green--I just assumed. The salad had cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion in a vinaigrette. Overall a very nice meal with the caveat that this is Bodo so on the expensive side.

Had the duck breast and creme brulee here yesterday. The restaurant itself is located beautifully on the 17th floor of the hotel, with great views over the city. We had a table by the window and enjoyed the wide ranging view we had. The duck breast was served perfectly cooked and the sweet potato puree among other side dishes were great overall. One end side of the duck did have some muscle tissue and overly much fat, which was a bit of a disappointment, as it made it rough to chew. The creme brulee was really great, as was everything on the plate. Raspberry sorbet, sauce and berries were all just great. Can't say much more than that the dessert was the highlight for me here.
