Tiger Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Bodø

We just showed up at the restaurant without a reservation on a Monday evening and we directly got a table. They refilled all the food very quickly and it was really good. When we returned two days later it was the complete opposite. The chicken soup was cold. They refilled the soup a couple of times but it was always cold. There is no way that they haven't recognised it. The Mango salad showed up after waiting one hour. We was in the restaurant for about 90 minutes, the chicken BBQ was on the buffet only once in that time and of course we wasn't fast enough to get some of it. As a lot people came in without a reservation for that evening they offered everyone to take away the buffet. That result in a lot people standing at the buffet and waited ~30 minutes for the good things to take them out immediately. So the guests with reservation wasn't able to get any of the good stuff. They really shouldn't offer to take out the buffet if they aren't able to fill up...

Interior looks nice but lower your expectations on sushi. This is the second sushi bar we tried in Norway and decided to dine here after reading raving reviews. well. We were quite disappointed and didn’t order more to finish our meal.

Buffet seem to be the popular choice but we ordered ala carte - a sashimi and a sushi platter for a start. The sushi rice was not cooked properly and there was too much vinegar in it. Probably less obvious in the maki rolls but super obvious with nigiri 🍣. The maki is also not wrapped well so you can see some of the rice at the bottom barely sticking to the main part.

Such a great vibe and even better sushi! I stopped by Tiger Sushi Bar in Bodø while on vacation, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The sushi was fresh and full of flavor—every roll was a little masterpiece. The team was super friendly and made us feel completely at home. Even as it got close to closing time and a few dishes were running low, the staff whipped up fresh plates just for us and served them right at our table. It was such a thoughtful touch!
