Dalat Cafe — Restaurant in Oslo

Small and cozy restaurant, with good authentic vietnamese food. You know the food will be bomb when the interior and menu is old and classic. Everything was superb except nr.5 hue's soup, which had a bad taste.

Vietnamese ice coffee ☕ 4/5 Ice coffe was good with strong coffe flavor and consistency is thick cause of the condensed milk. Only negative is there is to little coffe to ice cubes ratio.

Fresh vietnamese spring roll. 5/5 Spring rolls were fantastic with good quality shrimps and slices of pork meat.

Bahn mi baguette 🥖 4/5 Bahn mi is pretty good with a good ratio of pork meat, liver pate, pickled and fresh veggies. Bread was served while warm and soft. Could have wished for a little more filling next time.

Pho noodle 🍜 5/5 Soup had good deep and rich beef broth flavor, and i did not taste any msg or added sugar. Had a good selection of vegetables like bean sprouts and thai basil on the side.

Very terrible service. Would have rated this restaurant a 0 if i could. We came to the restaurant (which had no english menu) after a long day and wanted to get our asian food fix. The owner of the store took our order, and 5 of us had ordered and had confirmed that we had placed our orders correctly. Upon receiving the food, we realised that the owner got the order wrong and asked if it was possible to change since we were sure we had placed the right orders. She insisted she had got the order right and yelled that we should pay for the food even though it was incorrect. Upon hearing this, we were infuriated as the prices on the menu weren’t even affordable as the reviews says that it is. After all, why should pay for something that we didn’t order? After 15 minutes of debating with her, she still insisted that she was not at fault & proceeded to chase us out of the restaurant. It’s a shame that i didn’t the google reviews before entering this restaurant and even more disappointing to see an asian treat their fellow asians badly. I ordered food at 7.49PM to be delivered to my Airbnb. Everything seemed ok, it said delivery time 60-75 minutes. By 8:30PM it said delivery time 25-35 minutes. At 8:55 PM, it said delivery time 50-65 minutes. I called the restaurant, nobody spoke English and I don't speak Norwegian. They did seem to recognize my order when I read it out, and I did say "emergency", because I cannot walk without help and was stuck without food after a whole day's travel. They just hung up on me. I had been trying the Help function on the Foodora website where I ordered since about 9PM but the chat just said they were very busy. Nothing happened. About half an hour later, I found on the Internet that Dalat Café had closed at 9PM, so I knew my order was not going to come anymore. However, on the ordering page, it still said they were working on my order and it would be delivered, this time in about 45-45 minutes. So that was it, no food for me all day and no food until the next morning! Thank you Dalat Café and thank you Foodora. Welcome to FXXXING NORWAY!!!
