Came here with a stroller and a baby. After the staff indoors seemed too busy with very few guests, the staff serving the outdoor area came to our aid.
Finding a table where the stroller could stand in the shadow were no simple task; indoor the stroller would have to be put away to make space for passing guests. Outdoors would normally be the same, but the stroller could stand outside the premises, next to a table by the edge. But here there were no shadow for the stroller.
So we waited to see if there would be a table freeing up by the railing, where the stroller could stand in a shadow. After a complimentary glass of water, in the heat, the waiter arranged another solution for us; counting us as three people, rather than two plus a stroller, we got a table seating four, and the waiter took away two chairs to fit the stroller. A great solution for us, and quite a generous kindness in a busy warm sunny day with lots of customers.
From there we had a very nice lunch. The pizzas were fresh and tasty; good dough, tangy tomato spread, or white spread on the white pizzas. The selection of cheese and toppings were delightful, and often there were a thoughtful use of cheese to compliment the selected toppings.
Accompanied by refreshing cold drinks we had a very sattisfying meal. The pizzas are highly reccomended, and the service makes it...
Read moreDisappointing and don’t worth the money. I had high expectations by the reviews so I made a reservation for a date. In our case we ordered two pizzas gluten free (which I asked before doing the reservation) and the result was disgusting. The ingredients are very low standard and the amount quite questionable. The bases were raw (both of them) and also all the ingredients fell off the slices. The “tomato sauce” was horrendous and tasted like water without any flavor. The waiters were kind and diligent, but they didn’t ask anything when we left the place with more than half pizzas left over. Besides the disaster food, they also charge 30 extra NOKs per each gluten free pizza, which is frozen and NOT hand made at all, it’s a shame on a Italian restaurant, if you cannot deliver something in a bare minimum standard please don’t offer it. I won’t come back never, and I would advise the same to people with gluten intolerance. I didn’t order any regular pizza, maybe that’s is better but I wouldn’t expect much from a place that doesn’t even know how to properly cook a pizza doing dozens a day. I felt sad and scammed to be honest. The price was 74€ (740krs) for two gluten free pizzas + one...
Read moreHyped up pizza place in Oslo with poor service!
This place would not survive a week in the US.
First we had to wait in line at the door. That is OK - we can judge the time it takes by ourselves.
Then we were asked to go and sit in the "bar" where there was no staff to serve us. After blooming there, on a stool, for quite a while we got a table.
Then getting the menus and deciding what to eat - and then - no one to take our order. We waited... Already by now we should have left!
Finally we got to order: Pizza and some bread as a starter.
Minutes pass and now we are just interested in observing how this will evolve.
After half an hour we get our bread. 2 minutes later we get our pizza. Pizza and bread at the same time!!??!
The pizzas were ok. Not the best - but far from the worst! My partner complained they had only but one -1 - small piece of meat on hers.
We ordered the bill while still eating, just to stay ahead of things. It came quickly - probably because they needed our table! You pay at the counter as you leave.
Would recommend this...
