Not a good experience, we were staying close by and really wanted to try this restaurant. We had attempted to dine in one of their other restaurants down by the port but we hadn’t booked and there was a huge queue. So we said we’d eat here another evening. Went online and it said kitchen closing 10 pm. we tried to ring just to make a reservation to be sure, but nobody answered. I checked online again to have a look at the menu and it popped up that the kitchen was closing early at 9 pm. No problem it was only 8:10 pm and we were five minutes away. So we walked up, it was half full and 45 minutes before the kitchen was now closing at the earlier time. I asked for a table for the three of us and he said sorry I have been told to say no more bookings unless you have already made a reservation. I said well we tried to make a reservation but nobody answered the phone, I told him I checked online and seen the earlier time of closing was 9 pm, pointed out it was only 8:15 pm and we only wanted a main course. I was categorically and without much charm told no because that were his most recent instructions. They were still bringing out starters to some clients. We pleaded because it was raining and we really didn’t want to traipse around trying to find somewhere to eat but it was a no and as we left a quite sarcastic comment that he hoped we’d have a good evening! Read moreMy family and I noticed the terrace of this restaurant and decided to sit down. At the time, only about one-third of the terrace was occupied. We chose an empty table with a sofa, but the staff quickly asked us to get up and go to the hostess stand. We waited there for about five minutes, even though the number of guests did not justify such a delay.
When we asked clearly whether we could sit at a table with a sofa, we were told “of course.” We sat down, only to be approached 5 minutes later by a third staff member who rudely informed us that the table was reserved—despite there being no sign or reservation notice on it. He said the reservation had been overlooked and asked us to leave the table.
We explained the situation and asked if we could sit at another sofa table—all of which were still completely free—but were refused. No alternatives were offered, and we were simply told there was nothing they could do, in an almost empty restaurant.
This level of service was totally non-customer-oriented. There was no effort to accommodate or retain us as guests. We cannot...
Read moreI ordered take away. After waiting for a considerable amount of time, I asked where it was. They brought it and it had been clearly forgotten and was stone cold.
The waitress apologised and said they would remake it. No proble.... however it returned almost immediately and it had clearly been put in the oveb briefly and not remade.
This is where the problem started. When I pointed out they had not been remade anxld that the pizza was barely warm they insisted they were fresh new pizzas. At this point other customers also pointed out their food was cold.
They were clearly lying but just doubled down. An argument ensued.
The rude and incompetent manager then got even ruder and abusive. I pointed out if they hadn't lied and had remade the pizza we wouldn't have this problem.
The manager offer a refund for the pizza which I agreed to. However he wanted to keep the service charge I had given. I insisted on it being returned and he got more upset! He then told me he had done a full refund. One last lie! They only refunded about 2/3 of the bill.
