Beautiful location in the centrum of Oslo that was close to our hotel and we were delighted, after a long few days of travel, that they were opened! They have an impressive restaurant decor and atmosphere that romances and draws you in, it’s quite lovely! Staff was friendly upon entry and we did get in around 9:20 on a Saturday night (kitchen closes at 10) our server came up very shortly after we sat down and we had just pulled up the QR menu, so we had not been able to decide on our drinks yet so he brought us some water while we decided. We decided on everything but hadn’t seen our server in a while. So eventually the hostess came up to us and asked if we ordered yet as it was coming close to closing time, we hadn’t seen him so we relayed our order to her. Our drinks came out quick and our food followed after very quickly as well but we never saw our server again after that. We would’ve relayed that the food was astounding and maybe asked for some extra sauce or cracked black pepper but didn’t see anyone so we just continued our meal. After finishing and then waiting a while we assumed maybe we missed something; maybe a sign somewhere that says you’re supposed to pay at the front so we started to stand up when another different girl came and we asked how we pay. She brought us our check and a box for the pizza and we carried on our way. I know we came in towards the end of the night but we promised to be quick, and would have been probably much quicker if we had more attentive service. I find that’s where this restaurant lacks. Our server, when he was with us was quite pleasant! But we just didn’t see him. Perhaps he was was closing down shop for the night in the back and forgot but we did feel a little forgotten about if that was the case. We’re easy going tho so it definitely didn’t ruin our dining experience and I would definitely go back! The pizza and salad were divine but maybe I would do take away, not dine in. I would have also loved to see more options for green veggies for toppings...
Read moreThe reservation was confirmed with a note saying we had our table for 1h30m. We had to leave anyways, so we had no problems with this time slot. While getting seated, the waiter let us know that we had to leave in 1h30m. We got our food and instead of asking us how the food was, we were again told by a lady who was in charge, that it was very important that we left soon. She went to every table, and several others had been let know earlier. We had 40 minutes left and decided that we wanted some more to drink, and the waiter didn’t want to take the order since we had to leave soon. We finally got our order and enjoyed our drinks before getting ready to leave, the waiter came and took our drinks before we finished them, because we had to leave. This was 10 minutes before our time was over. The one in charge was not interested in listening when I approached her about our experience, and told us to leave because she had other things to do. Loved the food, but would not recommend going to the restaurant to...
Read moreThe pizza was fantastic, of course. I would have liked more chard on the crust, but this was fitting for the style and very inventive with the toppings. I will go back for the Ludo pizza alone!
At first I thought the service was a little slow, but then I realized this was only because the volume was too much for only two floor staff when we arrived. When the flow eased up a bit, our server (an Australian woman; I unfortunately forgot her name) was very attentive and helpful, and made my and my better half's anniversary dinner exactly what we wanted that night. This was a standout night for normal...
